The real question no one has seemed to ask is why is all your insides out of your Jeep?
The reason is stated in the writeup with the picture. Post #4 in the tread.

How do you like the armorlite?
I love it. Gonna marry it. Should have put it in sooner. It should have came from the factory like that.

Considering its been so long since you last saw it there is little chance you will see it again. One thing is if it was married to your vehicle it will need to be unlocked first before it can be used.

I would contact Tazer to see if anything can be done to prevent its further use. My guess is on one of those dealer visits a tech removed it in order to be able to access the system or perhaps apply and update. Once he was done he probably just forgot to plug it back in.

Actually the dealership could have possibly made an issue about the fact the tazer was installed in the vehicle. We all know how Stellantis is looking for every reason they can to deny warranties.

I don't know what you changed with the tazer but I am surprised you didn't notice what you changed was no longer working when you picked the vehicle up.

Sorry, I know the Tazer is really expensive and one on the reasons I went with the Jscan. Also, I didn't want to have something plugged into the vehicle all the time just simple and one less thing to have to worry about when going in for service. Hope Tazer can help you out.

There are a lot of features that the Taser can change that once unplugged don’t keep the changes from working. The live features require it to be plugged in, however. I was not using any live features. I will keep the new one plugged in as well, but now I have an extension cable for it that will make it easier to unplug when I take it for service. I haven’t contacted Z Automotive yet, but I plan on doing it tomorrow. Too many projects going on today though.

I am officially a dumbass, and I await my forum browbeating. I ordered my new Tazer. I updated my new Tazer. I took off my kick-panel to install my new Tazer; I reached up behind the dash, trying to feel for my SGW connectors, when I wrapped my paw around... my Tazer.

Yeap...

Earlier this week, I did not take off my kick panel. With my little headlamp on, I wedged precariously into the driver's floorboard and saw two dangling unplugged connectors. Like an idiot, I jumped to conclusions and ran as fast as my little feet could shuffle to my computer. Typing with my little hands as furiously as I could, I let out a warning as if I were Paul Revere to let everyone know I had been victimized by gremlins.

Yeah...

I am a dumbass. I await my deserved cudgeling.

LOL glad you found it. At least you own it as opposed to some here like yamazaki douchewater (or whatever his user name was) who recently got banned 🤓

There was a split second where I thought if I didn't say anything, no one outside of myself would know, but then I couldn't because omission is still a lie. I'm a dipshit, and a bastard, and a whole lot of other bad shit, but I do my best not to lie. I mean, if you are on your deathbed, I might white lie to you to make your passing easier. You know what I mean.

Fantastic !!!! So happy it was there and not stolen or misplaced by some monkey at the dealership! I can't tell you how many tools I have misplaced over the years and thought bad things happened to them.
Lets face we are all humans and sometimes unexplained sh!t happens.

Just glad you not out a bunch of bucks! Hopefully Tazer will take the new unit back.

A big lesson learned. Fortunately, I bought it off Amazon, so the return was easy. I already dropped it off at the UPS Store.

Happens to the best of people! Glad it was there all along! Also explains why your turn signal back-up cam (forgot what it’s called) was still working haha
Thank you!
