And that's why I have a 1989 YJ
He says as he uses a forum while waiting for a Facebook message on his phone before he goes to scroll TikTok from his smartphone while he's on the toilet. Later he'll watch his smart TV to watch a show or movie served from a streaming service and then order something through Amazon.

Even the most hypervigilant of us who don't use apple, and put serious effort into de-googling, rarely use social media in VMs with similar obfuscation are under 24/7 surveillance that doesn't take the smartest tools to link together.

Of those things I have only a smartphone, several forums and Amazon. I do 100% understand thet we live in a self made surveillance state and that anything connected to the Internet can will and does get every bit of information it can. It isn't something that keeps me up at night.

I just was commenting on how a car collects data that isn't within the normal of what a car should be collecting.

Until you get the big picture and then it should keep all of us up at night.

I've "heard" that if you wrap the Jeep in tin foil you're invisible.
Also helps if you're not on any wanted lists.

I see the big picture. I understand that freeing yourself from all of the surveillance is a monumental task. Everything you do is tracked, banks, stores, cell phones, taxes, pays stubs every swipe of a Credit card ect. Every thing you do they know. I do the best I can and still live a somewhat normal life. If you want to be "free" means no phone no bank accounts, no firearm or firearm related purchases no internet no tv other then broadcast antenna stuff. Even then your your voice or photo can and will be recorded by someone somewhere.

It's not as difficult to remove yourself from surveillance during social activities as they make it out to be, some people are just too addicted to their lifestyle, and expect others to give in also.

I leave my cell phone home and skateboard to a lake, meet with a friend, no one knows, sure there are cameras along the route and whatever blah blah blah.

I leave my phone home and use my car to drive to the lake the car knowns, I drove to the lake

Take the phone, it's now known my phone and friends phone was within the same proximity, address book etc makes additional social mapping etc.

The bottom line is your car should not be tracking your activities, that is what public transportation is for.

Whether its your telematics, plate readers, toll tags, intersection cameras, etc, etc.....there's very little you can do. Make your peace with it and move on.
There is more you can do than you think. Any interruption in the data collection stream is good!

Honestly I think if they want to track you can't even run to Mexico anymore . VPN cheaters or not they can see through the walls if they need to. I just read recently how AVG was using a spy software within their anti virus program. It's all BS all these fancy softwares. How often do I read in papers of major corporations and institutions being breached by hackers. And these people spend zillions on cyber security. and it still isn't bullet proof. That's my honest opinion.
The billions spent should be on anonymity, privacy and security. These breaches are all preventable.

And just because they SAY they deleted the information or won't collect it anymore, doesn't mean they won't log it elsewhere or send it off to a gov agency before "deleting"
I also asked FCA for my personal info. No response. They need to be sued. Sirius lied to me over the phone and said they don't collect data. I opted out and they did produce the data sheet that the have collected over the years.
