Water under flooring

So, let's say you have a friend and this friend is a dumdum and drove for like an hour in a downpour with his doors off. If this hypothetical friend figured out that the under matting of the floors was soaked due to constant tire spray getting in between the front and rear flooring (2 door full kit), what would Armorlite recommend to him to do to get all the water out? This friend is also lazy and hoping the answer isn't "Pull the flooring and let it dry".

I believe it’s all treated with an anti microbial so you should be good to go to just leave it and let it dry.

Less worried about mildew, more the constant moisture being under the floor in terms of it breaking down any of the body seam stuff or just never really drying out because there's so little exposure to the air. His Jeep always smells like farts anyway, so it's not the smell that's the concern.

You should roll the Jeep onto it's driver side and let the water drip out.

I drive with my doors off and get water in my Jeep regulaly during the summer…never really seems to bother it, it will dry out over the next couple of days.

I took this picture about 5 minutes ago, I drove to work in the rain. It rained in it all day, and I will drive home in the rain. I did this with my ‘18 rubicon for 5 years each summer with no issues.

My new to me Sahara doesn’t seem to mind.

Get a big bag of rice, and put the Jeep in it for a few hours. That will dry it out...


(On a more serious note, as someone considering getting Armorlite - is rust or anything of the body a worry?)

I’ve had my tub full of water twice now since the armorlite went in. They are very clear about saying it won’t keep the jeep water tight.

The first time I pulled it all out, hosed the floor off and dried it out. There was a lot of swamp water.

This is the second time since the flooring, and it’s sitting at a shop waiting for the new BCM to be installed. I asked the shop to pull the flooring to let it dry, and they hadn’t when I dropped by last week.

I’m going to see how dry it is when I get it back and send it to a detailer to get cleaned out.

For the record, water rescues can sometimes mean you need to be rescued after.

I don’t, but I do have the Mopar all weather mats and they pretty much cover everything. I just leave the doors off until Labor Day and it dries out…no issues
