January 24, 2024 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - The Jeep® brand is taking the iconic two-door 2024 Jeep Wrangler to new heights, literally, and bolstering the Wrangler’s legendary 4x4 capability and go-anywhere attitude by announcing a new Xtreme 35 Tire Package, offered for the first time ever on the new 2024 Wrangler Rubicon and Willys two-door models. The Xtreme 35 Tire Package first debuted on Wrangler four-door in 2021, enabling customers to add a common capability upgrade straight from the factory.

“Our passionate Jeep Wrangler customers are always asking for more – more capability and more adventure – so it’s a natural follow up to the success we’ve seen on the four-door Wrangler to now – for the first time ever – offer the 35-inch Tire Package on the two-door Wrangler,” said Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “These 35-inch BF Goodrich KO2 tires on the two-door Willys and Rubicon models deliver extreme capability, including best-in-class breakover angle of 32.4 degrees, straight from the factory with a factory warranty.”

In addition to best-in-class breakover angle, equipped with the Xtreme 35 Tire Package, the Wrangler Rubicon and Willys two-door models deliver uncompromising approach angle, departure angle, ground clearance and water fording capability:
  • Approach angle – 47.2 degrees
  • Breakover angle – 32.4 degrees
  • Departure angle – 40.4 degrees
  • Ground clearance – 12.6 inches
  • Water fording – 34 inches
Priced at a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $4,495, the Xtreme 35 Tire Package is available on Wrangler Rubicon and Willys two-door models equipped with the 2.0-liter turbo engine. The package includes:
  • LT315/70R17C (35-inch) BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires
  • 17-by-8-inch beadlock capable wheels
  • Swing gate reinforcement
  • 4.56:1 axle ratio
  • 1.5-inch factory suspension lift with uniquely tuned shocks
At a starting U.S. MSRP of $62,295 (excluding $1,895 destination), the new 2024 Wrangler Rubicon X two-door model with the 2.0-liter turbo engine features the Xtreme 35 Tire Package as standard equipment.

Customers can order the Xtreme 35 Tire Package on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon two-door model with the 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine starting now. The package will be available to order on the Jeep Wrangler Willys two-door model with the 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine later this quarter.

Production at the Toledo (Ohio) Assembly Plant will start in March.

This was a pretty simple thing for them to offer considering the success of the XR package on the 4 door. Good job in giving the people what they want Jeep, now stop killing off the cool engine options.

I would have assumed that the two door with 35’s would have a better breakover angle than my JLU on 37’s. The factory AEV lift is a tall 2.5 inches. It is close though. A two door specked JL370 would certainly be a menace right from the “factory”.

This is a unique move. Dealers in CARB states can't dealer stock anything other than 4xe and you cant get 2 door 4xe. Dealers also can't (typically) dealer stock the 4 door X (gas) which is the only way to get 35s. Factory order is the only way to go...Its almost like Jeep is moving to a special order business model.

While that looks sweet and I would love to have a 2 door XR....if I was actually buying one I would have to question whether $4,500 would be worth it or not for that package. If you look at the XR option for a Rubicon all it lists is basically the suspension and 35" tires for 2024. It no longer states anything about lower gears or heavier duty axles or anything. But also....I don't have the money to buy a new 2 door one way or another....

There they go again, limiting customer choices.
They just added something. They didn't take it away. Anything in life make you happy?

4.56 are part of the package, standard now.

That being said, how many of us "upgrade" wheels and tires. The package is great, but so many of us want something specific, not BFG ATs, but MT Baja Boss. KMC or Method wheels. Clayton or Metal Cloak, or something else. All of the options and packages are for a limited group of buyers. It's nice this is out there, for the people going for a "look". It's a nice marketing package, but a minority of us buy what we want, not what is offered from the dealer.

For me, a two-door Rubicon with 3.6L V6 and 4.88 gears is all I want from Jeep. I don't want a lift, bigger/branded tires, power locks, etc. I just want a "stripped" Rubicon with base engine and 4.88 gears. I'll buy all the off road bits that are specific to my driving style and terrain.

Nice to have options though, especially for (most) people that don't know the difference. This will get them outside and on the trails, and looking good at the mall, haha.

Yup, my wife, kids, grandkids, career, lake house, Lucy the lab, and JC to name a few, thank you for asking.

I never said they took anything away, I said they are continuing to limit choices which they are.
