Interesting, I'm gonna actually get some video of my JL on the highway here in Utah, and post it this week just to avoid the back-and-forth on this. Zero wander. Tracks as straight as my two-door coupe.
Pointless and a waste of your time. I easily agree to disagree on this topic.

But I like arguing with "car guys" who have such strong opinions. There's nothing to disagree about. Either your Jeep's configured right and tracks true, or it needs work.

Do a search on the forum. You will easily find dozens and dozens of posts or comments about steering issues. I have driven far too many to know that it is not uncommon...instead, quite common at least until FCA started installing cast iron steering boxes (which again did not fully solve the issue).

4 degrees of caster will not cut it...

I traded in a 2016 JKU for a 2020 JLU and remember driving home from the dealership thinking something was wrong because it was taking major steering input to keep it tracking straight. My previous 2012 JKU made a 140 mile round trip commute daily and it was one hand on the wheel just cruising along at 75-80, or at least as much as that is possible in a Jeep. My 2016 didn't make that lengthy commute, but I never had the kind of tracking issues with it like my JLU. My 2020 was an asswhipping to drive, though. I somewhat got used to it over the 9 months I owned it, but it just never tracked worth a damn.

My wife's 2023 JLU tracks more like my old JKUs, but it's still a solid front axle vehicle. I have a 2022 Basequatch Bronco and every time I drive her Jeep I have to remind myself that it's going to to drive differently and take more steering input.

Ha! "His Jeep needed work"... Now that's funny....
Seriously, do a search back on his posts. @CarbonSteel One of most knowledgeable guys you'll find on this forum ?

Yes, you're right on all the above. Though for many, installing longer LCAs might be "good enough."

In the past, 4 Bronco's, 3 Jeep's. Just bought 4th Jeep Wrangler because it is easily the most RV towable.

Time will tell after they have been out on the road long enough of course, but it seems Jeep would have more confidence that the battery would last more than 5 years when there is a 10 year warranty on it.
Yeah I can't remember where I read that, but I thought it wasn't a positive spin on electric vehicles. The electric company where I live is bad enough for rate increases and I don't want to see what it would cost for an electric vehicle.

I have two JL (2018 and 2024), and I like how they look. Bronco is not my cup of tea because it keeps reminding me OJ and the long car chase I saw live on TV, damn I am old.
I would love to have a TJ instead of a new Bronco but it is very hard to find one that is not rust to bone in New England areas.

I do see a few around LA. Probably would see more if they could have kept up with production. However they were a fad for a few.
I agree! I figured the same thing that hurt the Camaro was going to hurt the Bronco - where they went on for years talking about it, but you couldn't get one for a long time.

I've been noticing a lot of new Broncos on the road lately though, so they seem to be selling okay. The other thing is Ford's Raptor brand.... I think it's more relevant with younger people than anything Jeep makes right now. Like, Jeep might be having its Harley Davidson moment, ya know?

Like, among my coworkers they like my Jeep, but they either want a Raptor or a TRD Pro.

Maybe Jeep should have taken their low end market more seriously. It does seem like they're trying to do that now... the base model is a lot more attractive than it was last year...

Not reading all the posts in this thread, but every time I come to this forum, someone (usually with a low post count, new to the forum looking to get "Jeep cred") feels the need to start a new Bronco vs Wrangler thread, to reinforce their purchase.

My brother is selling his Code Orange Braptor, but then again he also sold his two 392s. Would still like a 78/79 someday.
A 78 is my dream car. Only 9 more years until I can import a 2007.

Late in 2023, a family member walked away from her planned JLU Sport purchase due to price fatigue. In less than 12 months, $41K eventually shot up to $46K, with absolutely no changes to her modest configuration but for the [no-charge] beige cloth seat option being withdrawn.

By way of comparison, in the span of just 3 years, the price of my JLU Sport increased by $6K. ?

In the same period, the price of the Rube 392 went up by $20K. Fun for the entire family.

Prior to her decision to back out, the entry-level trim on the Bronco was still available. I had suggested that vehicle as a possible alternative and she literally laughed. Fair enough.
Did she put down a deposit when she got her VON?

For mine, I'm in it for the long haul... at least until the extended warranty expires. I got lucky and got in under 5% interest, but I will be refinancing once rates drop below that again.

This YouTuber had his Bronco steering rack freeze overnight while snow camping in Idaho. He could not turn the wheels and had to get a big propane burner to melt the ice and free up his steering. He has a mod to fix a weak steering component, not sure if the mod was the problem or if a stock Bronco would have had the same issue. Several Wranglers with him had no such issue.
I do like his channel for some excellent video quality, despite his questionable choice of vehicle. ;)
