LisaMc needs steps or she won't go anywhere with me. That's occasionally inconvenient for me. I put these on not realizing that they don't do much protection.

I don't really want to buy another pair of sliders that will actually do both. I would like to reinstall the stock sliders with bolt on steps for her. I can't find such, certainly not steps that are engineered for this specific purpose.

Anyone know of such a thing?

something like this? Not exactly sure what you mean by not wanting rock sliders that will do both, but these install on top of stock rubicon rock sliders. I bought mine just before the step sliders came out so I regret that I little, but I love the product overall

What I mean is I don't want to spend over a thousand dollars for that. I would like to find a pair of steps that bolt on with the stock sliders. Goat had something a few years ago that required drilling but it apparently discontinued it when it came out with the step sliders.

Just steps. No sliders.

That's exactly what I had in mind. I didn't search "stirrups", I guess.

I have the small step stool but LisaMc grew up in the city and can be a bit uppity about some things.

Thanks!

I have these and really like them. Great for everyday use. Out of the way when not needed. Come off in less than 2 mins for off road.

I came here to suggest these. They were on my list (I ended up getting White Knuckle sliders, but the Hide-a-Step was a contender).

Okay, if the the nerf bars with the steps can't be bolted on with the stock Rubi Rails, let me run this past you:

Reattach the Rubi Rails, and find a good welder/fabricator and have the nerf bars with the steps attached with a good weld?

$600 stock Rubi Rails and whatever I overpaid for the nerf bars with steps...sunk costs that I don't want to lay around in my storage unit mocking me for years.

Just to close the loop on this, I found, through my local guy, Moose, a used, but like new pair of ACE Engineering skids that can be used alone or with OEM rails. I don't think I would pay over $1000 for these new, but for less than half that, I think I killed two birds with one stone, and have more rail protection AND steps than with the OEM rails alone. I put adhesive non-slip step treads on today and couldn't be more pleased. LisaMcTigerFan also seems seems pleased, which is a **** miracle. She's generally not pleased with much of anything I do to my Jeep.
