Not much today unfortunately:
  • put the Utah Foundry covers for the back of the front bumper
  • tried to hold my stop light to the mount with 3M double-side tape (somehow the two bolts that held it down went AWOL last week and the light was hanging by the wire)

Like the idea of the cover, but the upper corner seems not to fit well. Is it me or the picture angle? If not the angle then I'm not a buyer. I'd be looking at it all the time!

you know, I thought exactly the same thing when I installed it… but worked around the Jeep for a while today and didn’t even notice (vs I used to notice the fog lamp wires and connectors all the time).

I’m happy with the covers; not perfect but good enough for me

I'm not a fan of the open back bumper either. I may cave into those covers at some point.

I’d encourage you to get them if that corner is your only concern - you can (i) easily do a better job than me when sticking the rubber strip to the cover and probably even (ii) shape the cover to conform bette to the shape of the bumper.

Bro,

I did the same thing happen to me at SMORR in the Ozarks. Slipped off a wet rock ledge into a tree wedging through a tight v notch trail. Popped out the right bottom side of the fender, scraped up the whole outside edge. Ending up going with revmoto for an oem replacement part, paint matched and delivered direct to my house. Pricy, but can’t complain.

Agreed…. I have 315 KO2s on 0 offset and 1.5in Clayton lift is the sweet spot especially for 2dr.

Dang, that's the exact lift/tire combo I've been considering for my 2dr. I think you just sold me on the Clayton 1.5. It looks fantastic! Perfect proportions!

Looks great! How did your install go? My Destroyers just were just delivered yesterday for my 2 door. Hoping to get them on next week. Any issues getting them installed? Did you need to cut the skid plate down? Did you need to loosen the body bolts to get the mounts over the washer? I see a lot of install experiences of these from 4 door owners, but not much for 2 doors.

Finally found a spot to properly spool my new winch line under tension. In the treeless desert, there's not much to anchor on. But drove past this pile of old telephone poles on the side of the road tonight and knew it was meant to be.

This thing is a lot easier to work with than the steel cable on my old winch. Loving the synth line so far!

Also got my LOD Destroyers delivered yesterday, unpacked them today and getting ready to install them next week.

And, unlike my LOD bumper, I didn't have to excavate them like Ellie Sattler digging up a new dinosaur. The foam was mostly only around the edges this time, ha! No trowel required!
