Internet quotes on a 2 door Sport w/ 6MT, A/C, and Anti-Spin (and tan interior) [MSRP$30830]:

including all dealer/doc fees,

Dennis Dillon: $28,419+TTL w/o Chrysler financing (I really don't wanna play Idaho games though)
Dealer A: $29,976+TTL (nice guys with super high google ratings, 30 miles away)
Dealer B: $29,080+TTL (honestly seems a bit shady, but who knows. claiming 'employee pricing')
Dealer C: $30,700+TTL (extremely helpful dealership I test drove and had discussions at. closest to home. high-rated service dept.)

input? are quotes sometimes too good to be true? I'm leaning Dealer A.
It seems like you really like Dealer C and they are closest to you, why not ask them if they can match the price of Dealer A? If they do meet the price, you win with a great price and "home" dealer closer to you for possible future transactions, if they do not meet the price simply go with A and you still win with a great price

Does anyone know if Jeep wave covers touch up on paint chips?
It does not. Even the “appearance package” that FCA is offering some of us who waited the longest only covers paintless dent repair.

Just saw my Rubi on Jeep USA inventory search within 150 miles. Raleigh now has 35 units. Mine is one of them showing In Transit, to Tri City Jeep. Financing done. Sold my existing vehicle. Just waiting for call or email to set up pick up.

Everyone will have an opinion, might as well chime in :)

If it were me, I would be good with C. I look at it and ask “is it worth 725 bucks to have dealer closest to home with high rated service department?”. Long term is a yes for me.

Having said that, I would ask C if they could match A, or get them to meet in the middle. Present it politely maybe even throw in “how about we do this and get the order drawn up now?”.

And of course make sure there are no BS fees in that TTL. According to Edmunds, there is no limit to what a dealer can charge for doc fee in Utah, and the average is 299.00. That info is from last year but should be close to the same this year.

Frustrating!

2-doors reaching KZ after me were delivered to my area yesterday. Including 1 to my dealer. I still have not been loaded onto a rail car, per ‘Un-named’ site.

That other place can lag behind by a few days. I went D1 on 6/2, did not show until 6/4 or maybe 6/5. Others have had similar experiences.

Got a call yesterday, my jeep is at my dealer. I went right down to check it out, it is awesome. All my FCA anger went away once I sat in my new jeep. so be patient it will all be worth it in the end. I'm going back today to pick it up, I'll post some pictures tonight. This forum helped me get through four long months of waiting. Thanks to everyone.

Be sure to come back and share pictures, stories of adventure, and hang out after you get your Jeep. ;)

My dealer very kindly did not drill my steel bumper for the front license plate (required by CT law). When I arrived for pickup, he offered to do it and I said, "no thanks!" Anyway, in another thread this bracket seems to have won the popular vote for no-drill brackets (P/N SNS141 - Amazon had the best price I could find at $85 shipped).

Anyway, I just ordered one and will post my review after installing it. Yeah, it's not cheap, but cheaper than a ticket and better than drilling into my new bumper!

In other news, I drove on the highway with the top up for the first time this morning. It's plenty quiet for me. No louder than our 2004 Honda Odyssey, anyway. I mean, when a loud car/truck/motorcycle comes up next to you it's very audible, but once they pass the wind and road noise is really nothing. I believe all the folks in the "hard top wind noise" thread who say there is a defect and that it's not simply a "jeep thing," but I'm happy to report that my soft top does not whistle, and is definitely quiet enough to take a conference call for work. Sweet!

Hi all. After 6 months my 2 door has arrived in San Francisco!! Ordered 1/10.

Couple notes on my experience:
i started pinging Jeep Chat a few times a week when I found out the Jeep was built and awaiting shipment
one morning in a chat they said the Jeep was getting delivered that day. I nearly fell out of my chair.
I called the Jeep 1-800 number to double check and they said the Jeep was still waiting to get shipped.
I hit up Jeep Chat again to double check and they said "yes your Jeep is getting delivered"
I called the dealer and in fact the Jeep was just delivered at 6am that day. Lesson learned that some people at Jeep are not in touch with understanding where your Jeep is.

Drove 150 miles yesterday. here are my impressions:
this Jeep looks Soooooo COOL in person. It's totaly bitchin!
quality inside and out is very impressive. very well put together.
ride quality is excellent. really ,really impressed with on road comfort. Seats are great.
I'm 6'3" and fit great- seat is all the way back and NO issues with my head and the cross bar above.
I can see everything in the dash no problem (some tall people stated their head was too far up and some of the dash info got cut off when they look down)
U Connect is really gorgeous. just beautiful. Navigation is very fast. Everything is easy to learn and intuitive
at 65-70 MPH the soft top windows do not move at all. impressed with this. great fit and finish.
I got upgraded Alpine stereo and I like it a lot. It was worth it. good base.
The owners manual is small (not a thick book like I'm used to). At first I thought they didn't include it.
In terms of steering and people saying its got a lot of play in it. I did notice some of this but it's nothing really. In a two door, short wheel base with solid axels it just drives differently than an SUV. I would say that you just need to pay attention a bit to your driving as it does move around more than a typical SUV but again it's just what I "noticed" and not a complaint at all. The very small amount of play in the steering is not an issue, it's just a little different. I wanted to make this point. Short wheel base Jeeps are going to be more nimble than 4 door longer wheelbase Jeeps.
I will say that in the wind the Jeep does get moved around. I was coming back over the Golden Gate Bridge and the cross winds were pretty good (est 25 mph winds at 60 mph) and you do need to have both hands on the wheel.
I plan on ordering the Wrangler Door sills as they just came out (part number 82215393)- need these or the door sill will get all scratched up and gives it a finished look.
Thanks to everyone on this forum. Great community. Happy to answer any questions you may have.
She was worth the wait. I'm going to Napa this weekend and will take off the top and doors. Let summer begin!!!

well, you have arrived AND you have arrived

ya know, rumor has it, if you hit refresh on the JG webpage 1000 times a day ( i know from experience), it actually does nothing to speed the train along..... just saying. kinda wish they only updated once a day because i'm expecting to see the next train station or state every time i hit refresh. i have unreasonable expectations at this point :)
I think that pages' internet provider is thinking im doing a DDOS attack on them since i basically just sit and click refresh all day. Ive even considered creating something to automatically pull the information if there are changes and message me, but then I thought that would be great but i would still be refreshing the page all day anyways.

Im assuming that particular one wont work if you have a winch in the bumber? It looks like it completely blocks that front section?
