of posts on this topic. Let me say I hate that you guys have had to wait so long on the purchase. Obviously alot of blame to go around, and while I don't even own one yet, I'm excited for the ones that are starting to see theirs roll in. Production has started to ramp up finally with the 2 doors. I would be very surprised if you have anywhere near the wait as early orders have.First post on the forum guys. Future JLR owner...just working on pricing. For those that have ordered in the last month or so (if there are any lurking), are you seeing movement on your order? I gather that the PST, Headliner, and 2.0 seems to be the stallers....and was wondering of any of those that have ordered recently with those options, are you getting progress?
I want to put an order in, but I cringe at the thought of having to wait until Nov./Dec. to see it delivered if FCA is still trying to get caught up from months old orders.
Regrettably, you will definitely get your 4dr in the 6-8 weeks spoken of at any dealership. But, the 2drs are a mystery and are not a priority for FCA. I don't think there is any way to guarantee you get your jeep before NOV/DEC time frame, although there are just a handful who have. It's a hard decision as to whether or not to wait for 2019 ordering to open up. I would have though they would have been caught up by now, but that is not the case. I'm a FEB order and will receive in a week or two. But, that is 4 months. I think the sooner you order the sooner you will receive it though. PSTs are being built. My hardtop with headliners is on the way. The turnaround times are starting to improve a fraction. See my info below. Hope that helps.First post on the forum guys. Yeah, you should probably wait until November to order. ?!?I want to put an order in, but I cringe at the thought of having to wait until Nov./Dec. to see it delivered if FCA is still trying to get caught up from months old orders.
Bummer, was hoping, oh well, thanks for the info. Hope all goes well with yoursmy guess is no. this is what i took from the only other albuquerque delivered jeep that i found on JG site. I'm not picking up in ABQ, i'm picking up in Deming NM, but my dealer delivery sheet mentions ABQ as final train destination and i'm tracking pretty well to this route so far..... KC for me, not little rock or dallas... i hit decatur, IL last night. This route from last year would suggest another 10-11 days but my dealer sheet says 6/22 at ABQ unload so that's only 8... choo choo has to pick up some speed

Thats a good idea since i was debating about getting mine wrapped since its not the color I originally wanted. I have a black JLR and its a pain on the ass to keep it clean and the scuffs and marks are very visible as I have had a few black cars before, but the film protection may work as well. Have you gotten a quote/price on that yet?So awesome to see all the updates today. Happy for you folks!
Got another email today letting me know my order is scheduled to be built next week. For some reason I have 2 case numbers now and get updates on both.
In other news, I am taking my car in for trade/sale evaluation at the end of the week. Today my wife comes to me saying she is so sorry..... she opened her car door fast and clocked the side of my mirror. Painted mirror at that! I go and look and sure enough there are marks, big ones too.
I got mad for a second, then relalized the paint protection film I had put on ate up all the damage. Film has marks and cuts but paint is just fine.
Did not plan on getting film done to Jeep but sure as hell plan to now. Not a entire wrap but trouble areas and hood will get film.
Oh well I guess. I'm gonna be trying to pay off the thing in three years flat anyway.i'm 810 and not getting much better. fed just raised rates again. 4.3 at 84 mos, 3.24 at 48
congrats! Sharp truck!! Does it come with the Allison transmission as well? How is the ride on that and does it have solid power on the take off?Well I finally had it and cancelled my order and went another route. Went with a ZR2 with the duramax diesel instead. Now beiore u lambast me and tell me I missed out on topless and doorless summer fun, my wife bought a 2018 JK Willys Wheeler with the premium soft top, so I’m good to go. Just had enough of the run around and lack of answers. Maybe I’ll look at the JT with the diesel when that is launched because this little diesel is freaking awesome.

Damn premium soft top got you. I still find it AMAZING that they couldn't warn anyone about which certain features would delay delivery. I don't believe for a second that all the suppliers were like, yeah preorder those things we will have everything there right away. I know there had to be discussions, but FCA decided to keep that from everyone and just leave us swinging in the wind...Tracking site that shall not be named has my Jeep built pending inspection today. Checked with Jeep chat and and received the following response "It looks like we are building the vehicle now! We are at the trim stage and the completed vehicle should be ready in the
next day or so!"
Maybe if it moves quickly it will show before I leave on my road trip end of June.
That ZR2 Bison would be sick if it actually makes it into production! I may consider trading my 2500 Duramax for that puppy lolLooks fantastic, great choice. I just saw the ZR2 BISON concept being tested for production and I'm seriously rethinking my Jeep plans. Around same price, has lockers, is a collab w/ AEV? Bruh...
meanwhile this Hella Yella color is still MIA...
Summer is upon us...
Im about to 2k miles on mine and love everything about it. I have the 6 speed and the best mpg I've gotten has been around 17-18 mpg but I do get on it every now and then so Im averaging 15-16 mpg all around. Get used to the fan being loud, I got with the dealer and the service guy said they have noticed the same thing on most if not all JLs. No steering lock-up or cruise control issues nor electrical. Other than that its a Jeep Wrangler not a Bentley, hardtop is a bit loud since I expected it to be a bit more quiet since I all my previous Jeeps have been soft tops. Rides super nice yet feels beefy. One thing I do recommend is check the air Pressure like Cliff suggested, I had 43 on all tires after I read his post and got them to 37 like its recoomended (on the JLRs) now and you can feel the improvement on handling. You guys are gonna love how they ride once you get them, its worth the wait believe me! Orgasmic almost! lolQuestion time! For those of you who have your Jeeps now, any issues/problems/etc? Seems like some folks with older builds had issues with electrical gremlins, poor welds, and some sort of steering lockup problem. Just curious to see how the 2 door builds are doing.
