It is definetly an sweet looking unit! I`m sure you won`t have any issues with it but if you do I`ll send you my mailing address lol
I also found these on ebay from a site that I always buy from, 100% reputable and they often have Ridgid pro series along with Baja Designs LED lights.
I don`t know if this is a goo/great price but I figures I would pass it on. They have a little bit of everything but finding it sometimes is a pain

It's hard to find, but I know for sure I've read on the forum somewhere that the Teraflex carrier has plenty of adjustment and it will pull the tire in close enough for you.

Hey Josh. Here’s a couple pics of Alpha HD with Mopar tailgate reinforcement combined. This is with 17x9 -12 offset / 4.53 BS with 37s and factory steel rear bumper. I know not same as your wheel setup but wanted to give you an idea. The Alpha is set to highest setting, and possibly a little more room to push back. I’m not running any tailgate bumps and it is very solid.

Perfect?

That is exactly what I needed to see. My last set was very close to your wheel specs so this serves as a good reference. I have no doubts it will work well for my setup after seeing this. Thanks Rick!

On our recent venture out west we lost a few bolts on the OE Xtreme Recon beadlock wheels on day one and had to make an emergency pit stop in Colorado that involved some begging, and some breaking down of our wheels in a Big O'Tire parking lot so they could mount the tires in a "normal" fashion on the wheels. Problem is, the wheels aren't wide enough to be within spec for the 37's unless they're mounted as beadlocks. That combined with the fact that one of my wheels isn't even machined correctly from the factory (the bolts bottom out before the ring seats) and it may be time for a new set of wheels for Jeepeto.

Option 1:
I've always liked the look of the KMC Machete. Does anyone here have any long term experience with them? Do they suffer the same issues of breaking bolts? I'm sure its more hardware and maintenance related, but I'm less than impressed with the Mopar beadlocks, and would like to have confidence in my wheels, so if they're going to be problematic it's a non starter. I do like the idea of a sacrificial beadlock ring on these for those scrapes and bumps they will inevitably face on trail.

Option 2:
Beadgrip tech from Method wheels looks promising. I have moved away from big trails these days in favor of "overland" style trails (still some wheeling here and there when it presents itself, just not chasing it) The added bead grip protection might be enough to confidently air down to low teens or single digits for ride quality while having a no maintenance wheel set which sounds fantastic. Anyone have experience with these? Anyone with pics would be awesome!

Option 3:
I'm open to suggestions. Doesn't have to be beadlock/beadgrip, although I do like the idea of having something there to help keep the bead.

Thanks in advance!
Walker Evans, these are Baja 1000 grade wheels, ran them for about 88k miles, never an issue

Good search skills Dan!

It’s glorious ?

Exactly what I was looking for, seems like the perfect solution, brings the weight back in close to the gate again, and looks to work just fine with the mopar hinge reinforcement.
That’s the setup I’m running. The Teraflex Alpha HD carrier and Mopar hing reinforcement play together just fine.
You can really dial in exactly where you want the spare to sit.

Ended up on option 1, the KMCs, I do like your style though ? shiny wheels are a classic look, and I’m about it.

Good looking wheels. The Walker Evans wheels are rugged and strong actually built for Racing in Baja.

Teraflex Alpha carrier installed, and it worked perfectly with the Mopar hinge reinforcement ? pulled the wheel/tire much closer to the body, I’m far happier with the weight not being on the end of a 4” lever now.

pardon the dirty Jeep
