Nope! The instructions still want you to rip the fender liner out but it’s not necessary. I left them all on. A few curse words here and there due to the tight areas but I got gorilla hands and it’s doable. It all runs on the frame now. Didn’t even touch the interior.

I didn’t have enough length for the ground wire but a simple cut splice and some extra wire and a ground terminal loop later I was back in business.

I was in the same boat, hell no to tearing apart my interior panels. Saw this and it’s good to go
Awesome news, I'm gonna do it & return the 4 wire kit that I bought.

Got it thanks really good stuff on there
Oh good! You’re very welcome. Yes there is and you can also send in your own design. Christian does fantastic work. I think his sale is still going on.

Designed and printed a mount for the Tazer JL Mini.

File for 3D printing can be found here for anyone that wants one.

*Edit - revised the design a little bit since there has been some interest in it.

Nicely done! Very clean. Just got my Technician & General licenses last week. Still waiting for them to be posted by the FCC. What's your opinion on the FTM-400? Have been looking at different mobile radios; Yaesu is in the top. All I have at the moment is a Baofeng and trying to figure out what to get for a "real" radio. Figure I will get more use out of a mobile than a base station unit for the time being.

What antenna are you running? Also, what is your dash mount? I have a molle panel overhead as well as a Vector bar on the dash. Thanks.
I like the FTM-400, I'm used to a more manual radio so some of the functions I have to double and triple check prior to using it. Honestly, I don't think A UV-5R with an externally mounted antenna is a bad setup for a convoy. I only use a dedicated mobile radio because the linked repeater system in Colorado is pretty good. Having the capability to hit those repeaters is a safety feature for me.

However, if I had to do it all over again I think I would have gone with a handheld and saved up for a new iPhone that's SATCOM-capable (allegedly coming soon) for more austere emergencies.

Thanks for the info. Can you post a close up picture of the cable stay / antenna holder you have setup?

Decided to throw on this hitch skid I had from my Gladiator. Probably not as necessary with the JL but I do like the ability to attach d-ring.

It's somewhat frightening to think of the potential implications of attaching a D-ring to that.

I installed a Rough Country front track bar to center my axle after the AEV 2-inch spacer lift. Then had to straighten the steering wheel.

How much total lift did you get with the AEV 2" Spacer Lift?

Was the RC Adjustable Front Track Bar straight forward to install? Have the same not installed yet.

I didn't measure before I installed it. I believe it is close to 2 inches. The kit comes with the stabilizer links, bump stops, and the SNAP module to adjust tire size, and air pressure limits. I also went to 35-inch tires.

The track bar was fairly easy to install. I have installed a lot of them. The RC can be adjusted after you install it. Then you will probably have to straighten the steering wheel.
