Added Iphone charger. Ran wire behind dash from media hub usb. Of course now my carplay wireless adapter has a hard time figuring if it wants to turn on or not when plugged into usb 2 port. That's a tomorrow job to figure out.

How do like that phone mount? Do you have a picture with the phone attached to the mount?

I need to update this. While putting brakes on, I found that three of the tires have cuts in the sidewall. Not sure I would buy them again. The tires are not leaking air, but it still makes me nervous as we often wheel way out in desolate places and still plan to go to Alaska in June. I am struggling with pulling pulling off almost $2000 worth of tires with 18,000 miles on them by the time we leave for Alaska.

We still have about six more weeks of wheeling in the south west then to the east coast before we make it home in the beginning of May.

I know Alaska is hard on tires, andI never had these concerns with the Cooper STT PRO tires. We put 84,000 miles on the Coopers with zero issues and wheeled them way harder than the Mickey tires.
Was waiting for this type of firsthand review.

Great location for emergency. Have you watched the videos of those in use on actual fires? Or have you ever used one?
I’ve never used one. Set off a halon extinguisher once when I was young, that is a quick way to ruin a party ?
The videos on the element were what sold me on it.
If I were real serious I’d put in a blazecut system under hood.

So would you say that those Coopers are your favorite all around go to?

For the amount of off roading we do, the Coopers held up great. We went through two set of them for a total of 84,000 miles. Zero issues. I was kind of waiting until 15,000 miles to write my opinion about the Mickey Thompson BajaBoss AT3 tires. I will still do that. We will be going to Tombstone and Bisbee AZ for four days of wheeling and sightseeing. Then my son will be out for a weekend of wheeling next week. So we will be close to 15,000 miles soon.

Finally got around to installing some chase lights on the Genright carrier.
Thanks to @BajaDesigns Brandon for always helping me out.

S2 Sport with the wide cornering is perfect for this.

I’ll have to program the Tazer Mini later to set the lights to flash under a custom lightshow.

Im really anxious to get that carrier. You happy with it?
I didn't get one on our 2018JLUR because I wanted a Poison Spyder carrier bumper combo. The poison spyder bumper carrier is not anywhere the quality they were before the buy out and have been putting up with it since. Time is coming for me to get this carrier.

Are You happy with it? dumb question....I know. I dig the chase lights too BTW.

I have a medium conventional type C. Cant always trust vids, that's why I asked your opinion on it.

I set off a high voltage substation Deluge" system and had a 20 minute man made rain storm while trying to get it to cut off........LOL I do relate to that "incident"..

Most folks mount them where they are far too hard to reach in a big hurry. Well Done.

oh this tire carrier is SUPER beefy and the welds are done by hand here in California not some rando guy in China or something.

I absolutely would buy and install this tire carrier again. There’s no rattle, no tools required to install or remove the spare tire, can accept any bolt pattern you may go to in the future and best of all, it’s removable (2 bolts).

So if you want to run without a spare tire for the more technical offroad parks it’s easily done and won’t look as dumb as having a tire carrier with no tire on it. Lol

I do recommend getting some water proof, disconnect-able connectors for the electronics on the tire carrier.

Oh and I used my Park-Tool cable routing tool to easily route the camera and brake light cable through the carrier.

If you’ve got anymore questions about it, let me know.

Nothing planned yet. I think a big brake kit could be on top of the list of any future mods. There’s a guy running this tire in 38x15.5 on a non-XR 392 and he doesn’t report any issues yet. He runs his pretty hard on and off road.
I just watched this video that you might find interesting. Bigger brakes apparently aren't very effective unless you're experiencing lots of fade (I.e. on a race track).

Cool! I wondered how they routed cables in those bike frames.
Thanks for sharing.
