First off, thanks for the great summary of programs here at the front. I did a search on CSN V41 and read the results but didn't see an answer, if there is already a response to this question, my bad.

In CSN V41 Steering Damper Shimmy Wobble (rev 6 I found on google here MC-10169208-9999.pdf ) step 6, in bold (and partially underline) that states "Location of side intake bulge on the base cup MUST BE POSITIONED in the downward position and the arrows on the damper label must point to the front of the vehicle"

Does anyone here know why it has to be in that position?
What results if it is installed opposite (bulge up and arrow pointing rearward)?

My 2019 JL I purchased new had this program done prior to my ownership (glad that the dealer was proactive) but it has started cupping the tires at 30k miles and now has a very severe shake of jeep and steering wheel at 50+ mph when turning. Obviously this is important since it is in bold and says must be positioned I am just trying to understand what may have been damaged due to this over the 30k miles of wear. The tire wear seems possible but I noticed during inspecting the tie rod ends have play that I have never seen before on past vehicles (but I have not had a solid front axle before either).

Thanks for any feedback.

Me, too -- but I'm not seeing it mentioned here so I guess it's new. Seems like it's just having the dealer flash the PCM with some new firmware ... is that right?

seems to be. I'm curious if its something we need done, or can wait on.

Here's the notification letter.
I got this notice too.
Has anyone gotten the work done at the dealership?
Was it straightforward or a hassle?

The Recall list can be searched by VIN. Is there a way to search the TSB list by VIN or do I have to read each TSB for issue or VIN? Thanks.

Saw this one this morning for problems with the instrument panel:

"Chrysler's parent company Stellantis is recalling 32,863 of its 2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator (11,554) and 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler (21,309) vehicles. The recall report said the "instrument panel cluster may experience an internal short circuit and fail." When an instrument panel fails to display the necessary information a driver needs, like the speedometer and warning lights, it can increase the risk of a crash, the report said.

"These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, ‘Controls and Displays,’” the NHTSA report said.

As a free service, dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster. Recall notification letters are expected to be delivered by Oct. 3. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 30B.

Recalled vehicles:

2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler
2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator"

I saw this too. I believe it's specific to the 3.5" IPC on the base model dash.

Recall Y10 was done in 9/2021.
I have a cracked fuel line in the same area that was previously replaced.
There was a 2 year grace window for the replacement part, which I am outside of (3 yr mark). Dealership said Jeep may assist, but Jeep said no due to being outside the 2 yr window.

anyone have this repeat on them & get anywhere with it?
