Kind of an different question…

Could I swap the seats of a Willys and a 4xe Sahara? I know the mounts are different in the rear but could I just unbold the seat itself from the frame and swap?

I am considering getting different color leather seats in my wife’s (coming soon) 4xe Sahara. It comes with black leather but she would like to have saddle. My Willys is cloth but I would have liked leather. If I took her seats and she took mine but then have katskin leather installed.

would this work?

I believe the rear 4XE seats are completely different due to the need to fit over the batteries.

Is it just the frame under the seat that is different or is it a whole new seat design as well. I would think Jeep tried to keep as many parts the same to reduce costs. Hoping they only changed the seat frame.

Ha! Famous last words...! ?

Jeep gave JL five different sets of fenders, four different pairs of turn signals, three different grilles, seven different seat coverings, four different rear axles, half a dozen different bumpers, etc., etc. All for no real good reason.

Coming up with completely different rear seats would be par of the course.

The rear seats in my High Altitude 4xe are completely different than the seat in my 22 V6 Sahara, down to how the middle seat folded down into a cup holder/arm rest, to having one lever to flip the headrest down and the bottom seat cushion folding forward in the 4xe. I do not think that you can swap a 4xe rear seat into a non-4xe or vice versa.

Thanks for that info, I was really hoping it was just the frame and folding mechanism- well momma is gonna to have to like the black leather seats…
