Today should be a good day, im installing the first aftermarket fog lights for the jl available. They are led's by morimoto and with the best warranty available. Is an easy plug and play. No need for resistors or bulbs, everything comes together and the housing is all designed specifically for the jl. I will install later so stay tuned!!

Nice choice on your rims, I have the same ones lol. I did not like how the spare looked without the center hub so I had planned on modding the center hub to cut out the logo in the center but when I was looking at it to come up with a plan I noticed that it is actually a two piece center hub and the center of the hub is actually removable by taking out the metal ring on the inside and pressing the tabs. It is easily put back together if you ever need it. You may already know this and decided you like it better without but thought I would share anyway.

Spending some more money.

Looks amazing! i'm looking to put the same wheels on my Rubicon. I'm waiting on delivery. Do you have a lift on it? I'm trying to avoid getting a lift but curious if the 35" fit with no rubbing (assuming you have no lift)

You’re welcome!

Word of advice: We applied the first coat of PlastiDip per the instructions (spray it on until it looks wet) then let it dry. It looked AMAZING. The PlastiDip smoothes itself out as it dries.

I followed the recommendation of someone else on here and tried to apply a clear coat of matte enamel after that. It RUINED it. Because of how the clear coat comes out and dries, it made the whole project look like a cheap spray paint job.

So, we applied another layer of PlastiDip over that and it seemed to cure most of the blemishes from the clear coat.

The wife and I agree. We should have just left it with one (or two if you prefer) coats of PlastiDip and it would have been perfect. I don’t recommend the clear coat.

Also, it will take a few days for the fumes to go away, lol.
Plasti-Dip makes their own Clear coats that work well. I believe they come in a variety of glosses as well, all the way down to matte. You will just have to order directly from their site for all their specialty products.

I like this... I too have a Firecracker... what brand of spray paint did you use, and your process? Simply mask/tape and spray while on your back? Or remove everything and set down, then spray?

Naw, I went straight caveman. Laid on my side/back and sprayed in short bursts until it was done. Everything is black under there anyway, but I didn't have any wind blowing or notice any overspray. Only thing I did do by the book, I let it dry properly & applied a couple coats. Sorry for the less-than-technical instructions, but hey, it's mine. :giggle:
