I bought these same speakers and recieved them today. These are way better than the speakers in the slot. Where did you put these exactly?
They replace the two on top of the dash and the two smaller ones in the sound bar. I did just the two dash and noticed an immediate difference. I may do the sound bars ones next.

Sorry I didn't see this until now. He is correct, I put the 2 on the dash and the 2 in the sound bar. I drive a lot with the top and doors off so I wanted to do all4 upfront. Im still going to have to add a little something to it as it isn't as loud as I want it... not saying it wouldn't be fine for yall… I just am used to blaring music so loud I piss everyone off around me.

Can someone confirm the base sound system that has the 2.5 inch in dash speakers is the same mount screw surface area as the upgraded sound system that has the 3.5" in dash speakers? Looking to upgrade the sound system and do JL C2-350x's and want to confirm fitment. Thanks.

I just installed the JL Audio C2-350X in my top dash panels and they fit without any modifications. All you have to do is bend up the tabs on the speakers a bit. They will not however fit in the 3.5" spot in the Sound Bar. The Sound bar is a total POS honestly and I'm going to gut it to install some 6.5" mid range speakers.

It is a shame that they made the speakers so hard to work with. I went to my local shop that does a ton of installs , and is easily the biggest appliance/electronics supplier in the Chicagoland area (Abt Electronics) and they said that the JL has been very difficult to work with and most people are just upgrading the upwards in dash speakers and just amplifying the rest of the stock speakers. I guess I will do the same until you post a DIY of your 6.5" rear speaker install, lol

I'm going to do it similar to this guys. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...y-help-would-be-appreciate.28526/#post-686889 Then I'm going to just put back the factory grill covers. the Good thing about a DSP amp is I can control everything. So I'll use the EQuillizer to tweak out the HIGHS in sound bar speakers. It sounds too funny with the high frequency's behind me.

Looks like a fun project but might be a little too much work for me at the moment. I'm gonna see how the entire system sounds after installing a 5 channel amp and swapping out the factory dash 2.5"s and adding a 10" Sundown sub. I feel like i can barely hear the rear sound bar. I had 5.25" Focals (entire system powered by PDX-V9) in my TJ and left the factory dash speakers as is, and it didn't sound as good as it should to me. I feel like sound traveling downwards is harder to hear, lol. Thanks for the info!!

Have any of yall used these? Wondering how they work. Ordered some today. Concerned with the lager speaker that the grill over them will rattle and muffle the speaker. Haven't decided on a speaker yet.

Did you upgrade to 6.5‘s? How did it turn out? Do you have pics?

Curious for feedback about the upgraded Alpine stereo system? My 2023 Rubicon (on order) has it and I’m wondering how good it is?

Well . . . if you are an audiophile, you may be disappointed. If you’re an average Joe with a couple ears, you may be pleased. There are so many variables in this equation, you’re better off listening for yourself once it arrives. I like mine, but have admittedly added some Terra Acoustics front soundstage speakers and the JL-JT pods + 6.5” Kickers in the sound bar. Stock Alpine was fine, but I couldn’t leave well enough alone ?. Err’body’s got an opinion, let your own ears guide you!

How did you mount 6.5s?
