Am getting slight rattle when bass it going through speakers. Rattle seems to be coming from overhead passenger side speaker/speaker grille. Anyone else experienced this? Is this something easily fixed at home? Prefer not to take it to dealer. JL is a two door and currently has 700 miles on it.

I am having the same issue with the speakers right above my head on the drivers side. Also looking for a fix without going to the dealer. Mines a 2021.

If you truly don't want to go to the dealer, remove the grille and check if both speakers are fully screwed down. Before putting the grille back on, get some foam weather stripping and place some around the inside of the grille so that it will compress when the grille is put back into place. That should help eliminate the rattle.

Good advice that's the first step though. Usually it's not the speaker weatherstripping that's the main culprit however it's a good starting point.

for the poster and the other commenter, on the rare occasion, the chamber that acts like a ported enclosure, can become loose. Use a torx (T15 or T20) and tighten all the small rivnuts, they can be lose from the manufacturer. The second "easy" fix is pull just the 3.5 and 4" speaker and completely stiff the speaker enclosure with Polyfil. You can buy a huge bag of it from Walmart or any fabric store (used for stuffing pillows and quilts), also make sure the wire is secure to the clip because sometimes they forget to clip it to the roof of the sound bar, that can tend to vibrate against the speaker and cause the rattle, you can also wrap the wire with close foam tape. The most "expensive" runs in the neighborhood of $115, your speakers MAY be blown. However, it's a great excuse to get better sound as well by going from a paper cone to a stronger baffle as well as bigger magnets which equates to deeper, fuller sound and give full range acoustics. It only takes 45min between pulling screws, removing speakers, disconnecting the wires and popping on the new speaker adapter harnesses (not cutting, splicing or crimping), then reinstalling everything. (I'm also a profession audio installer and have upgraded my JTR and JLR complete systems including 2 amps for subs and 4 channels as well as a Stinger HEIGH10 headunit in both vehicles.
