Just ordered my JLUR in Punk’n orange. Thinking of requesting the following of the dealer prior to delivery. Let me know if I missed anything.

• Do not wash the Jeep ( I don’t want them scratching the paint).. I plan on hand washing it myself only.

• Do not install a front license plate holder. (I’ve seen some botch jobs in this regard.) I got the steel bumpers and will figure out mounting the plate myself.

• Do not install my all weather floor mats. (I just want to do this myself.)

I'd make sure all the fluids are full. I have no idea how or why, but my windshield wiper fluid was practically empty when I got mine and I got the warning indicator for it right as I pulled into my driveway.

I don’t mind that being empty. I want to fill it with the Rain X fluid.

Something I forgot. NO dealer stickers on the Jeep!

I am not sure I would fill it with Rain X fluid. Back when I bought my JK people were having clogged washer fluid lines and it was stated that Rain X washer fluid was the cause. I never really found out if this was a problem personally as I stuck with the regular fluid to save myself from any issues with this.

I am not saying you WILL have an issue using this. I am just saying if you start having an issue with clogged lines this may be the problem.

"$uicide$hift": not just Jeeps...when I bought my 2015 Mustang, my dealer warned me not to use RainX fluid. Ford was getting reports of clogged fluid lines also.

- full tank of gas...it used to be the norm, but it’s surprising how many dealers don’t do this anymore and even the order sheet says 5 gallons of gas only
- no dealer stickers...in the past I’ve asked some dealers not to do this and they still do as it’s mandatory they say...I peel them off while the salesman is doing his walk through with me and toss them in their trash. Same with the license plate bracket.
- no tire shine...they did this to mine and it attracted dirt like a magnet.
- no orientation drives for other salesmen or buyers...you’d be surprised, but if your salesman doesn’t hang onto the keys others will take it for a spin to get a quick orientation...by the time they are done your Jeep has an extra 20-30 miles on it
