Super excited to join this forum. I just ordered my Sting Gray JLUR on Saturday and 1 business day later was issued a VIN. Im a little upset that a few days ago when I ordered the color matching top was not available and now it is but I think I'l be ok... Seeing all the pics of new Sting Grays with black tops and they look beautiful either way.... Hoping it arrives in time to enjoy it for a full summer.

Welcome ....you shouldn’t have moved that much in the system yet. Probably still have time to change your order.

Any reason to think that this color won't be available with 2019 models? I love it but need to wait till the end of this year to purchase.
I hope not. I'm waiting for the 2019 as well. It's been hell debating myself to pull the trigger or wait and if I lose out on String Grey I might freak out! Haha

On the other hand the value of the current Sting Greys would skyrocket!

I'm thinking about adding the Rubi suspension. I want to use it as a small lift. Waiting on a quote from my shop to put it on. Starting with tires to see but I think it's gonna really need that little extra height to set it off.

I'll have pictures with the tires and no lift this weekend.
What all does the different models suspension consist of? If someone is planning on doing the Mopar 2" lift with Fox shocks does that replace all the Rubicon suspension components?

I haven't stuck any on yet, working hard making everyone else's decals. Kinda like the old saying about a contractor's own house. big plans for a partial wrap soon.
sounds interesting, no need to tell you that we will want to see photos of that lol :like:

Don’t order the mopar kit first of all. They are having major issues with the spring rates and bowing.

The mopar kit consists of 2 new front lower control arms that are fixed length, 4 shocks, 4 crappy springs, new sway bar links. It essentially replaces the springs and shocks and adds front lowers to correct the caster after lifting. It does NOT include adjustable track bars.

I’m looking at reputable brands like Teraflex a s Rock Krawler to see what I want to do.

Yea I'm familiar with the bowing springs but I believe I heard they had a fix for them? Maybe Rugged Ridge figured out the bottom holder needed to be wider if I recall? I know that Mopar isn't always the best out there but I kinda want to recreate the exact same jeep as the modified Mojito Rubicon that was at the LA Autoshow!

Was anyone able to order the color match hard top as part of the Dual Top Group? On Jeep.com it appears you can with a $1,200 upgrade charge but I'm hearing from some folks you can only get the black hard top if you do Dual Top Group?

Yesss... ordered my Rubicon a little less than two weeks ago and my order hit D1 today =)

Fully loaded & color matched. I'm going with EVO MFG Stage 4 with King shocks on 37's...

I can't wait.
Did you order the trail rail kit as well? ... ordered a fully loaded on 4/11 ... still in C .. I have asked the dealer to remove it

I ordered from my dealer on the 11th too. Not sure when the order officially made it in, but probably a few days later.

I originally wanted the rail system, but they took it off the website when I built my final config (the day before ordering). At the time, I just figured I would install it and a head liner later.

If you're still in C, that's probably the hold up. They won't release orders into production unless all parts are in stock.

Without a clear lead time on the rail system, you might be better off cancel/rebooking the order. That's what I would do, at least.

Do you know who mopar sources their lift kit from? I had heard from someone that it was AEV, which is hardly a non reputable brand. But maybe I was misinformed.

Originally I was really pissed off when I tried to order matching top and fenders on the 17th but couldn’t. Spent the rest of the week thinking it over, then I saw the pics of the SG rubi with black top/fenders soaking wet on an overcast day. Also saw matching fenders on a Sahara in bright sun light. Decided to save the money and go black top and plastic fenders. Then yesterday I saw pics of a Sahara fully matching and realized that just like hyper green it looks good rendered in the configurater, but on the car in person it’s too much in my opinion. At this point I’m really happy how it worked out for me.

I believe I hit D1 today. Dealer told me it should most likely arrive by the end of the month baring any unforeseen shipping issues and based on how their other orders ahead of me are moving . Not bad for ordering 4/23, but I’m also in Michigan so I’m closer than most.
