I love how Bronco owners are accusing the guy of leaving the top down and somehow faking all of this. I guess it’s possible, but it seems more likely that he’s telling the truth, based on all the pictures and evidence. I think you’d see a different result if the top had been all the way down.

It's tough to say how significant a problem this poses for Bronco owners. On one hand, soft tops already aren't ideal for climes that see significant snowfall or extreme wind regardless of which vehicle they're on. On the other, we may continue to see both in greater extremes (and in new places) as our climate changes. In either case, it's safer to just stick with a hardtop.

Except for Jeeps with soft tops that stay outside during winter...

As much as everyone around here loves to bash Broncos, take a step back and examine the photos. There is no way the snow could accumulate like it did, especially under the hood, unless it was left open.
By the looks of it, and the electric cord routed to the engine, he probably plugged in the engine heater, and left the hood up, the night before the snow storm.
As for the interior, I don't see any accumulation of snow on the side windows. This tells me he left them down. it looks like someone is either desperate for attention, wants Ford to buy it back, or is a complete idiot for leaving everything open.

Snow behavior is a little different in Tuktoyaktuk than Houston. Dry blowing snow gets everywhere.

Safer to stick with a hardtop, that isn't available, that's recalled, that's not offered on the two-door. Yeah, there were a lot of Broncos ordered with a hardtop that had to be re-ordered with a soft top due to all the hardtop issues. Just better not to get a Bronco, maybe. Maybe it's the frameless doors.

Welp...

Kinda seems to me that a soft top, any soft top, just doesn't belong in subarctic Canada.

JMHO ?

Actually, the 2 doors are standard hard top. The soft top is a dealer installed option on 2 doors. The only reason I know tjis is that my neighbor got his a week ago.

@Bryce, which meant no two-doors.

All hard tops were constrained and recalled until recently, meaning manufacturing and delivery of new two-doors stopped until new hard tops could be made, as soft tops were not available. They were only recently released.

Clearly, you've never been in a blizzard. This is a picture of our (wife's mostly) PT Cruiser convertible (with frameless windows) AFTER warming it up, driving it about a mile, pulling into our garage, and sweeping off the snow. The grille isn't very large on the PT, the bay is very cramped, yet the snow was perfectly packed to the hood and around every single component--even in the back.

No snow got inside.

This was in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It fired right up without hesitation or sounding any different; I was surprised and impressed. That was about 15 years ago and I still have the car, never had a problem (I was afraid electrical problems would ensue).

Were the Bronco's hood left open, either 1) it would be bent backward as if it were a Jeep, or 2) it would no longer have a hood (given Ford's quality as of late, I'd think the latter). Those kinds of winds will blow your vehicle's doors entirely in the opposite direction--the reason you always park facing the wind.

Your (biased) impression is wrong.
