Antenna Toppers Anyone??

i put one on my antenna and it flopped and swayed like crazy at highway speeds. took it off.

Mine does too. Hoping it'll break the OEM antenna so I have a reason to replace it.

I’ve looked around for a fishing bobber topper but haven’t found one yet. One of my co-workers had one on his TJ and it just looked natural there.

Jack in the Box is alive and well in Texas for sure. We used to call them "Jack in the Crack," as they were pretty nasty. Plus, Jack in their ads was just creepy. Clown creepy. That said, they are in the middle of reinventing the chain and getting things upgraded with a better menu and nicer restaurant boxes. Haven't been to one in a while, but there are a lot here in the San Antonio area, as well as throughout parts of the south. Guess I need to try one again, just to see what they offer...

Oh, and on the antenna toppers, yes, the factory antenna is a total wuss. I initially tried one of the highly-rated stubby antennas, but I lost reception and didn't care for it. Eventually I went with this one off Amazon in black, which is much stiffer, has a wind-redirecting design, and is much stiffer. Reception is excellent and it looks very good.

You can still get a Jack in the Box topper - not that we ever had Jack in the Box in Western Canada, but we watched nothin’ but American TV, so we were certainly aware of that particular cultural phenomenon…

Part of me misses Jack In The Box, probably been a little over 20 years since I've had it. Somehow, I think one meal from them would satisfy that yearning for at least another 20 years.

Yeah, this is a very nice antenna. I have the same one, a blacked out 31".

Not necessarily an antenna topper, but I modded my oem antenna earlier today. Cut the antenna at the perfect hight, used a combination of a coupling and a little welding to get it to stay tight even at highway speeds. Used shrink wrap tubing to water seal it, and will paint the lower section of the antenna in a little bit.
