I'm extremely OCD about the looks of my Wranglers. It all has to flow together smooth. So shout out to @Rhinebeck01 for recommending these caps for the silver key holes around her. Unlike the Amazon ones these pop on and off no tape and come in several different designs.

Well should have her back next Wednesday. Phase 1 will be done. Should be a killer start. Chicago Auto Pros doing her up. Then I can get the new colored decals matched with parts that need powder coating. Still waiting on Metalcloak to get me my package together. No rush.

Thanks for posting. I think that options are good and everyone can benefit from knowing what’s available. Folks might like these but I find them fugly. Really fugly. I’d rather have a keyhole.
I'm not big on the tire tread pattern but really like the round flag. Probably looks better on darker colors also.

@Killed by Death

I have an assortment of the DI Labs keyhole covers.. I was sent them all to eval during the testing phase.. I have them in different colors and styles....

Geeez, I even have a Jeep Wave keyhole cover and a Tread on the circumference style keyhole cover that did not make the cut/ is not available fastened to my tool chest in the garage.... 8-)

I have shown this assortment to many.. and I mean many JL owner's. It's funny cause many like the keyhole covers with the tread on the circumference and many like the one without tread on the circumference..... but once seen they all liked the covers in general..

It's kinda 50/50 so to speak who likes what. I can say that pretty much everyone that saw the assorted keyhole covers I had and saw the tread style (no tread on the circumference) went right out and ordered a set of keyhole covers for their JL or JT.

Many went with the tread style and many with the flag style and others went with.....
........ and yes, many went with the tread on the circumference styles.

As for me... well, I prefer the styles without the tread on the circumference for my white JL.... ( I tried a bunch of covers during testing)

........but can say I do like very much the tread on the circumference keyhole covers on the darker JL's and JT's ...

Anyway, I like no more shiny key holes.... I like that not only are the caps looking good on a JL/JT but also that they are functional.

My vote is for covers in general... to each his own what style you go with..

Tread Style:

Funny ... I do have a complaint that I made to the co-founder of DI Labs today...

Here is what my correspondence to him said:

" Nit picking.....

I think you need to rethink / re-design the sticker you are sendng out with the goodies for the JL/JT.

Guys /Gals (not all) like to place a sticker on their vehicle, on the tool box or wherever...

Because of the size of your sticker, I'd say most will just trash it... Trashing it gives you no publicity, etc...

That fugly, huge decal costs you $. I suggest you say, keep it as it is or redesign ... but whatever you do reduce the size down to say 2"x 3-4."

How do these fit? With a plug into the keyway? How good is the seal around the silver lock assembly? What holds it tight? I'll just observe that leaving something in the keyway will prevent the little key door from closing, meaning easier entry of water (that can corrode or freeze) or mud that can clog. So a good seal would be important. But if these covers can be easily removed for key use, they might wiggle free a bit, breaking whatever limited seal there might be.

I'd like to see more information on these...

@Madhatterish

The DI Labs keyhole covers seal extremely well... no water, etc. will be able to get through.

Nothing goes into the key slot, no double sided tape is needed... These keyhole covers just press on.

Once on they are really really on there.

DI Labs has a "nail ring" they call it on the circumference of the covers that helps when you go to remove the covers... Yes, they do come off but with effort....

Yes, if a guy/gal wanted to, they could use a small piece of double sided tape if they had concern the covers(s) would go missing.... say thanks to their using a commercial car wash place that was not touchless..

In closing..... yes, seal is excellent. Yes, effort has to be used to remove the covers which are tightly tightly sealed onto the keyhole. No, they will not damage the paint / finish on your JL/JT.

Disclaimer: I was/am a tester for DI Labs. I did not pay for the covers I have on my JL or the one's I tested.

I can assure you if these covers had a shortcoming I would be upfront about it.....

.....the only shortcoming I can see is that they are made of Nylon PA12 - An Engineering Grade Material .... and like any similar material on your vehicle, you have to protect the material with say 303 Protectorant to reduce... slow down fading...
