Two door only - how to secure rear seat in folded position?

When the rear seat is folded up and towards the driver seat, how is the seat secured to keep it from bouncing back and forth during trail rides or acceleration?

There are straps on each side of the seats that connect just inside the driver and passenger door by the rear side windows

It isn't. I guess they assume you have secured cargo back there to hold it in place. Without secured cargo you would need to improvise a strap/bungee solution. With the seat folded up there are several places to hook a strap onto.

Just like stated above. Hook”s on each side use the straps on the seat. Take notice though , I keep my drivers seat really reclined. The Backseat has a tendency to rub on the plastic hard cover of my driver seat, Scratching the back hard cover plastic :-(

To hold the seat flat since it doesn't latch.
Thread the 2 seat tie downs through the cloth seat belt loops then tightly attach the tie down Velcro ends to the seat back. It holds the seat down flat and you don't need to modify the seat latch.
I've hauled boxes and groceries using this seat position.

Jeep if you are listening it would be nice to lock the rear seat into this position on the 2 door JL.
