A friend of mine has a 2018 that has probably never been kept inside a garage. He lives in southern California. The bumpers and fenders are faded grey. He tried Back to Black with no luck. Is there anything that can be done to restore sun damaged black plastic?
Started the Jeep for my commute to work, and instantly got a CEL. Checked gas cap and it was fine. Jeep performed perfectly on the way to work with no issues. Tried restarting upon arriving to work. Still had CEL.
3.6 V-6, manual, with less than 7k miles.
Any ideas?
Friend of mine has a 2018 two door JL (soft top) and he is having issues where he will be driving down the road and the driver side window panel of the soft top will come undone. The part that is coming undone is the top edge.
I have not seen it personally, but that is what he is reporting. He...
Been a while since the Jeep was clean. Had mud that had been on the unpainted plastic bumpers and fenders for quite a while. After washing and drying, the mud spots are still visible.
What is the best way to get the mud spots off? What is recommended to protect these same plastic parts from the...
Interesting. I never seem to notice it working. Yes, I have driven manuals (sports cars and trucks) since getting my license. None of my other vehicles have HSA. For me, it is almost like HSA is not there. How does one disable it?
There is a feature built into the JL that assists manual drivers when starting from a stop on an uphill. I do not remember what it Is called.
Anyways, my driveway is on a slight uphill slope. In the morning when I get in and start the Jeep, the feature holds me in place for a second or so as I...
When the rear seat is folded up and towards the driver seat, how is the seat secured to keep it from bouncing back and forth during trail rides or acceleration?
Had an Evo and S2000 since new (still have S2000). The turn in and grip on these cars is spectacular. Steering ratio is very quick as well. One thing I grew tired of, was everyone wanting to race or rev their motor when they would see the Evo. S2000 is rarely driven at 16k miles currently.
Now...
In the Tacoma forums, folks there were saying that installing a D Ring shackle in the tow hitch could cause the frame to bent in a low impact collision.... I still run mine in the Tacoma, and will probably do the same in the JL.
Currently run my Tacoma with a D ring shackle inserted into the tow hitch. It came in handy when I had to tow a friend's JL out of some thick mud.
Was considering doing the same thing with my JL. Has anyone had any issues if someone got bumped from behind and the D ring was a contact point...
