the Jeep was picked up about 4 days later. I received check via FedEx 2 days later.
The check was 2 days after receiving the paperwork or 2 days after they picked up the Jeep? If they take the Jeep and then send the money, that would be scary to me.

It took 7 days to hear from them after accepting the offer and uploading the requested docs. I was never asked to upload photos. I had only to upload the registration and title and drivers license. I called to check on things on day 5 and she said they were swamped. Then on I think day 9 I received the FedEx. I returned it the same day and the Jeep was picked up about 4 days later. I received check via FedEx 2 days later. Whole process took about 14 days.
Cool - thanks.

So how did the Vroom thing work. I submitted my 2018 with 8000 miles on it and the offer was 51,500. That is more than the sticker price in 2018. I'm selling my 2014 Chevy Volt tomorrow, for more than Vroom or Carvanna offered. I've been looking at the 4xe, but the dealer here is not willing to move on price. Thinking of perhaps ordering one, but taking the money while it is there. My wife just wants me to buy it, but when Vroom is offering that much, they have my attention. Oh and the dealer where I test drove the 4xe says he has never heard of Vroom, lol.
I just fedexed the title to them today and next step is to wait for them to pick it up. My understanding is they make the deposit to my account at that point. Seems legit and professional so far, just not the process I am used to.

My plates just came in. I was talking with the sales guy I purchased my custom order through and he told me Jeep just cut production due to the silicon shortage. He told me that they are purchasing Wranglers back at up to 10% over msrp right now.
FYI KBB for my JLU is $1700 to $5000 over what I paid for it right now Lol

mmm smells like lies up in here. I just check mine on vroom and it gave me the same as kbb trade in value.
I have zero interest in selling my first Jeep that I bought in Spring 2020. Anyway, out of curiousity I plugged my info in to Vroom and it offered me $53,135 (same as @IdahoSting's offer but mine is a year newer). Seems strange that several people are saying their offers (Vroom and elsewhere, if I recall correctly) were more than they paid and maybe even more than MSRP. Not mine. My 2020 JLUR was MSRP $55 or 56k. It now has 10k miles. I'm not saying anyone is lying but comparatively speaking I don't feel I received an uber sweet seller's market offer.

Edit
KBB suggests 52138-56276 (54207), so they're higher than Vroom.

Vroom is legit. My brother sold his (pristine) 2018 Maxima with 21k miles for $4500 profit last month. They picked it up last Thursday. Today his balance due on the Maxima was $0 already and the $4500 was deposited in his account 2 hours after they picked up the car. He said the smoothest and most worry-free transaction ever.

I think the short-term run on pricing is because of the chip shortage, and the fact that the Wranglers are always hot. I do think they have a steady price even when used. I also think that because mine is a manual and the recall mess, the introduction of the Bronco, and the new Hummer... Wrangler pricing in the next few years will have some competition. I am going to look tonight at least to see what my 2019 Rubi 2dr is worth! Good luck.

Check back every week. They have been known to fluctuate on the price by $1000+ within a 2-3 week span.

They may be referencing an ordered rig. A 55-56k MSRP could have been bought for 48-49k from one of the dealers that do 6-7% under invoice.

vroom offered me $42870 for my 2018 Sahara JL with every option but Safety and Tow.

Problem is, I really enjoy my $400 a month payment. A rubicon similarly equipped is about $55-$57k.

I'm all about buying low, selling high...but I don't want to take the 18k in equity and see my payment rise $100/month, my wife would have a field day.

Kelly Blue Book says my 2018 Sahara with every major option on it and only 6,200 miles is worth $45,000 to a dealer. I paid $38,000 four months before the pandemic hit.

I added about $3,500 in Katzkin leather seats and a Mopar lift.

I barely drive it. I am tempted to get the cash and run. Perhaps wait a few months for the market to cool off and see what else to get.

I still have the OE wheels and front bumper. I may swap the Quadratec wheels and steel bumper and sell them separately. I never got around to installing the winch.

Thoughts?
I was just thinking the same thing! I have a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Diesel with 2,500 miles and I got it for $48k! Cash instant offer for $57k! You kidding me?! I’m VERY tempted...

I sold my wife's '13 Cadillac SRX to autonation for $14800 which is $2800 more than they offered in Feb '20. I just bought a 2020 Nissan Titan XD last September for $44k and last month Carvana offered $48K so I jumped on the offer. Luckily they also had good deal on a 2020 JLUR w/ 11k miles for $48800. The original msrp on the JLUR was $55425. I was extremely happy with the deal and loving the JLUR, which is my first Jeep. Don't know why I didn't get one sooner!

Many of us did not pay MSRP. MSRP on my 19 was almost $42K and change but I paid $36800 (before dealer fees and taxes). Vroom offered me $38,400.

Are there dealers offering 6-7% below today? with orders placed today are there reasonable delivery times?
I've been following this thread with slight interest but not checking exact numbers. It seems that there is a disconnect somewhere. Yes used prices have always held pretty good, just slightly below new prices. But it sounds like people are being offered more for their used vehicles than they can buy a new one for. That is what isn't making sense. Who is buying a used vehicle from Vroom for more than they could buy a better new vehicle?

A year ago there were good discounts due to employee pricing, but when those ended about end of May as I recall all of the dealers in my area went back up to near MSRP, or they advertised discounts then tacked on hidden costs to get the final price back up. Maybe pre- calendar year 2020 there were better discounts. I don't think there have been good discounts on in-stock inventory in the past 11 months, at least not within the 1000 mile radius of my area where I was searching.
