2 DOOR JL build/order discussions master thread

May have been a mistake, but ordered 12/15 with premium soft top, been in and out of D for months. Jeep chat as well as this forum indicated a 5/14 start for the P Top, if it does not get postponed. Had dealer change to a black hard top yesterday (Friday the 13th) and will see if I move out of D. Keep your fingers crossed.

He also said, if he was a betting man, that I would see it 5-10 days after that date.
Last Saturday I was D by Tuesday I was D1 with a date.
I also contacted Jeep chat.
They verified the information from my dealer.
They seem to be on the same page... at least for my build.

As far as I can tell, only hard tops have hit D1

I have been going to Jeep's dealer search and using Toledo as the search point. I saw 4 doors go the just a few in transit to now over 2,400 on the dealers lot. Same for the Houston area. If you select 2 door as an option, none on the lot and none in transit. I'm guessing we will see movement in Toledo very early on as an indicator 2 doors are shipping.

Well, guys, we are trying to pass the time best we can.
Although my order was placed 3/7, production started 4/9, so am I 5 weeks or one week as far as time frame? Not that it will make a difference in the end; let’s hope the December/January orders start rolling out soon, then we will start cheering rather than going crazy.
In a way, this is like being pregnant, except with the latter 40 weeks is the goal. Let’s hope it won’t be the same with my wrangler...

I talked to Jeep customer service Monday 4/9 and they said 2 door production had started.

I haven’t been following your specific posts, has Jeep Chat even confirmed your VIN exists?

My dealer called yesterday and said my JL 2 door had been built and was just waiting for paint. That was good news on a Friday the 13th.
