I've seen this in a few reviews now. People complain the regen setting does not save. I was just reading the 4xe supplemental owner's manual (good read btw) and it states the regen mode saves between key cycles.

Anyone know what's going on? It's very odd for a vehicle to have different behavior from the manual. I was hoping there would be a Tazer setting coming for this but there may be a factory software update on the way.

Do you think it will be OTA update or a thumb drive ? Hate to have to go back to dealer for it

Yes, it was a change made by FCA/Jeep. Supposedly the feature will be added back with an update. How that update will occur is yet to be determined.

Actually, it isn't. Vehicle changes get made quite frequently with the manuals not getting updated in time for release. Typically, there's a supplemental release but not always.

It's the first time I've gotten an early release.

I'm curious why they had to make that change. Perhaps something regulatory?

From what I've read here and elsewhere, no reason was given.

Updates to software on my previous jeeps has been via thumb drive.

I believe they are stating you have to push the Max Regen button upon each start of the vehicle. It won't remember it was on like the supplement to the manual states.

Correct, the 4xe has regen and max regen. This setting always reverts to max regen off.
