This is my first (Jeep 18 JLU) so I wanted to make sure nothing bad happened to it and Ive seen all the great comments about Plastidip so I was able to cover the whole thing with it. It took 53 and half cans. I had to drive to multiple stores. I could easily do a few more coats on some of the lower parts.

@Sloxkhart98 Love this top!!! Assuming it wouldn't keep rain out right? Maybe shelter from light showers? Will it scuff up the roll bars?
I'm wondering about scuffing the roll bars to, now that they are body-color painted. Anyone experienced this?

Wow......53 1/2 cans!? Need pics of what you are talking about..... Why not buy it in gallons, I am sure it would have been cheaper if not about the same price if you had to purchase a spray gun and rent compressor as well.

It’s probably still to soon to tell the accumulation of damage caused by wind moving the straps back and forth and being wrapped around the roll bar

New Jeep owner (finally). I'm considering: new KO2's to replace the GY Wranglers, Gobi/FrontRunner/Kargo Master rack and/or TopLift Pro. I know I can't do the TopLift Pro and a Rack. Would love to do more Jeep camping with the kids so the Rack would be supper handy. TopLift Pro means no rack but way easier top removal and storage (in condo indoor parking garage) And well the tires.... KO2s vs GY - no contest - don't care about 2-5 less MPG really. Advice?

Speaking with the guy who did my 3M - he agreed would be a good idea to 3M. This guy is very trustworthy, I know he's not just saying this to drum up business.

Paid $930 for a year of registration..wtf.
Picked up Rubicon rails
Dropping it off at Northridge for lift and tires after work.

I might need a 2nd job..
Might as well ask since your from CO too. Is the registration fee based on new vehicle price or (price - trade in)? If it costs $930 to register a Jeep that better be the most complicated system ever :headbang:

They do it by their perceived value of the vehicle at time of registration. So basically the more expensive car you have the more you pay.

Is that every year or every 2 or 3 years or what? I guess they're always gonna get you, one way or another.

Every year but as the vehicle depreciates the less you pay.
Right but there has to be a number that they use and multiply by a percentage (the percentage will drop as a function of time). I'm hoping its the same as the taxable value and not just the number on the window sticker
