Replaced my LED fogs with squadron pros. I’ve never had amber fog lights before so wasn’t sure how effective they would be or whether they’re worth having over regular lights.
Another question is how much the beam pattern would effect reflection in snow/fog and what the best balance would be (low and wide but short vs higher/farther but more reflection).

I do think the stock LEDs are pretty good, but HID/LED lights have a sharp cutoff which is good for the street but not dirt/off-road. The high beams throw light straight ahead but don’t help light up the sides or up.
So I went with Wide Cornering lenses instead of SAE (cutoff, and weaker haha) or driving combo (thought might reflect too much?).

Before I bought the Jeep I looked up headlight options, and there weren’t really any 9” options and as far as I could tell the Mopar LED lights were pretty good and weren’t much more money considering the taillights, fog lights, and replacing those with aftermarket didn’t make sense.
Plus, I like the Mopar look the best so made sure I got the LED package. Kinda stinks replacing perfectly good fog lights though:puke:

so, here are some pics!

Super happy with how it turned out. I obviously don’t plan on driving with these on unless the weather is terrible or off-road, so I think these are exactly what I was going for. As others have said the Squadron Pros are insanely bright, the white Wide Cornering lenses were blinding. Definitely don’t want to run these on the street.

JK Gear and Gadgets on YouTube did a pretty good comparison, but it’s hard to tell from video just how the amber lenses look. You can see more than I thought you could with just the amber lights and low beams off. In pictures it looks dim but I’d feel comfortable driving with just those on.

Hopefully this helps someone!

It's great how the Jeep allows the use of the fogs with just the parking lights on. All my previous vehicles would only allow the fogs on with the headlamps. Another kudos to Jeep.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing!

Soo I’m trying a change.
Diode dynamics SS3 max sae fog for the Baja designs squadron pro in wide cornering...
Love the BDs and their softer cutoff and bright output, but that means I can’t run them on the street, and in heavy snow they actually made glare worse than my OEM LED low beams :(
I think the squadrons make better off-road or desert lights..
Pics are of SS3 in left fog, BD squadron pro in the right.
You can see the directed optics of the SS3 make a more focused horizontal beam of light with gaps closer to the truck. In reality this is not as noticeable as it appears in the pictures, those light gaps are almost out of view from the drivers seat.

Also tried the combo lens in squadron, can see where it’s blasting light straight ahead

I went with the Baja Design SAE to replace the fog lights a (so I can actually use them on the road) and the Squadron Pros Driving Combo on the cowls for off-road/back-roads/bad weather driving. I love the things!

Here's Factory LED Headlights, LEDs+ Squad Pros, and Squad Pros only from the cowls.

Looks great, I’ve been thinking doing the same with my squadrons now that I put the SS3s in the fog lights.
Do the combo lenses bother you with glare up there? The amber doesn’t seem too bad, but I was purposely avoiding cowl lights before..

I've not been bothered by any glare. One of the reasons I went with Amber was less eye fatigue. The other was, as you discovered, the white light reflects too much when used in any situation with moisture. I loved the look of the OEM fog lights until I used them in actual fog for the first time. I ordered the BD SAEs the next day.
