I don’t understand the thought process to where they believed that was a good/safe idea. 🤦🏻‍♂️

None... but it pays well.
Reminds me of the big fire in California. Man and son decide to drive out of a fire zone, after realizing they could not so much more to save property. They were lucky to be able to turn back once they ran into the fire line blocking the road.

My feelings are, they should give off-roading licenses requiring a common sense test and recovery training.

I bet they only had in their Jeep a king sized bag of Doritos and and ice chest filled with beverages.

Dad prolly thought, wow I should've bought a Rubicon.

A guy I worked with when I lived in central FL had never seen snow. Maybe they were completely clueless about what they were getting into?

Florida Man ...
Sometimes stubborn determination is not the way. The short lived hit to your ego by stopping or turning back is sometimes the smartest decision…I know this first hand.

I’ve taken that self imposed hit to my ego more times than I can count. Some still bother me but I made the right decision at the time.

I was in Basic Training with a few fellows who had never seen snow before. Their Oohs and Ahhs as they witnessed a passing squall while we were in the barracks remains a clear memory to this day.

Those same guys suffered a bit when we were being PTd outside in the same temps. One of them was a smoker who should've been washed back, but wasn't.

The gov regulates enough of our lives, the last thing we need in more licenses.

Now, a hefty bill for the SAR, that I could get behind. Sometimes stupid should hurt, even if it is only the pocketbook.

Pictures can be deceiving but it doesn’t look like terribly deep snow and by the look of the foot prints it looks like relatively dry snow. To me that looks like a good time but for someone from FL it’s probably hell. I’m wondering if they were aired down or at highway psi.

That pic is eerie with the drop off, seemingly into oblivion, so close to the Jeep 😱

I mean look at how much common sense and safe driving exists on our roadways due to written and practical driving tests. Certainly off road licenses with testing would solve something, right?

This could be a case of natural selection.
