When camping or driving through the woods at night, we need side lighting, but I don't always want to install a roof rack. So this idea came to me: a pod bracket that clips onto the rain gutter. A simple little thing that solves the problem. I'm not sure how much it would cost yet, but what do you think?

Price: $95 per pair
• Compatible with 2018-current JL/JT hardtops
• Fits most pods on the market; we recommend sizes under 4.5 inches.
• Extruded aluminum with CNC machining, securely clips onto a Freedom top or back hardtop.

Mite be somewhat less attracted to branches and limbs located near the center pillar. A very low profile lamp suggested. Perhaps a LED strip would offer more clearance if not less light.

Looks neat but you also have something on the roof to help conceal and cover for the lack of better words on a Monday morning. Maybe a back to front LED light strip that can quick disconnect at the freedom panel, connect power from the back or front. That would protect from branches and the whatnots.

Appealing especially with the availability of the 1/4” camera mount. Any thoughts to making a bracket which be attached to the rear upper hardtop hinge for similar purposes?

My thought would be to start with a Milwaukee M18 light and make a bracket for it. Hardwiring kills the versatility for me.

If you're wondering how to wire it, I glued some of these adhesive strips onto the windshield.
I recently did some testing, and it works fine.

Since we are not a pod manufacturer, I can't make any promises, but I will ask Suparee if they can release a dedicated pod cable set for rain gutter.

It's not difficult! I'm just not sure how many people need this
