Looks like the price of the 4XE has gone up again.

2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Is Now $1,220 More Expensive For All Trims (motor1.com)

Jeep is increasing the price of the 2021 Wrangler Unlimited 4xe plug-in hybrid. The entry-level Sahara grade now starts at $51,025 (plus a $1,495 destination charge). This is up from $49,805 before destination currently, making the PHEV model $1,220 more expensive. Cars Direct first reported this news and confirmed the revised numbers with Jeep.

The mid-tier Rubicon is now $54,725, rather than $53,505 currently. As with the entry-level model, this is a $1,220 increase.

The same increase takes the 4xe High Altitude to $56,600.

Almost as if it was a crazy good deal, and with 2 price increases...it will still be a pretty attractive vehicle to consumers!

Initially the 4xe was a huge bargain with tax credit, now it is losing its appeal with each price increase. I am curious if the price increase is in response to strong demand or is due to something else

I'm not sure where Stellantis is with their 200k unit numbers, but I wonder if they are increasing the price so that they can "discount" once the $7,500 credit expires.

As auto prices have ratcheted up over the years, new sales have fallen. That's what happens when anything increases in price. When you look at this chart, we're lower than we were 20 years ago. The more manufacturers raise prices, the fewer they sell. They are losing customers hand over fist. It's not a sustainable venture. I don't know any industry which wants a declining customer base.

Just realized this when I got my window sticker. Should pick up my 4xe Sahara in the next few weeks and worried they're going to come off our agreed price due to this change in MSRP. Would be interested to know if anyone experiences issues.

Hope you have it in writing from the Dealer(email) on the agreed price and then use that incase they ask for more.

I would gladly take a larger battery, but I knew what size it was when I purchased. So far I regularly get about 140% of the advertised range.

I was in the same boat when I placed my order in March and it arrived in May after an increase. My dealer stuck to the agreed upon price when I placed the order.

So... what happens with all of the people that placed orders before the price increase?

And then, what if you've placed an order that's taking so long to produce, not 6-8 weeks, but one of those outliers that's beyond that.. do you tell them keep it and send me a 2022 when you're ready...
