Just installed a tazer on my JLUR in anticipation o bigger tires and decided to baseline my 0-60 times using that feature in the tazer.

Curious to see others real world 0-60 times based on their trim and mods.

My setup:
2022 JLUR-4xe. Hardtop. Standard rear bumper. LOD mid width front bumper with Warn 9500ti winch. Driver (me) plus recovery gear, tools etc add about 250-300#.
Currently running the stock 285/70/17 KO2s
Conditions 59 deg. Negligible wind.
Elevation approx 600-700 feet above sea level.
Tank approx 3/4 full of 93 Oct.
Battery at 90%
Hybrid mode, 4auto, traction & ESC OFF
2000rpm launch.

I am currently in FORM. Very interested to see if this makes a difference because in normal driving it sure feels peppier in FORM.

Did three back to back runs:
5.7, 5.72, 5.78 seconds.

I’m pretty impressed by those results. Let’s hear others reports.

Form doesn’t make a difference in 0-60 or max power.

It’s essentially e-save mode but it isn’t trying to keep the battery charged under part throttle. Under full throttle, there is no difference.

Yes I emailed tazer to somehow implement FORM 1 as sort of a sport mode option. I much prefer the part throttle shift points and throttle response in FORM 1.

BTW, I got 5.29 with a soft top, plastic bumbers, and my doors off.

The best way I’ve found to launch it full brake and full throttle for one second, release brake. (This is with engine already running, i wouldn’t recommend in hybrid mode)

The rpms automatically stop around 2k rpm, so similar to what you did only it’s easily repeatable every time with no skill and preparation.

Also I’d advise you to stop using 93. The 2.0 doesn’t knock or pull timing on 87. Anything beyond regular is throwing money in the toilet.

I just find when out of FORM it’s a clunky process to launch in hybrid. The ICE always shuts off when stopped. Even if I try to idle it up. My next test was to try it in E-Save and see if that made a difference.

Generally I would agree with your octane assessment for normal driving but I go with 93 for my personal reasons. Normal day to day I can do in mostly all electric. I might fill up after about every 6 weeks. About the only time I use ICE is while towing or sporty driving, or in FORM. I drove an ‘18 Sport with a 2.0 for 3 years before the 4xe and definitely saw better performance and mileage using 93 over 87 in it, especially when towing. Jeep recommends 93 if you are towing.
So with the 4xe, the little amount of gas I actually use, it’s not a huge investment for added performance or the peace of mind for me to go with 93.
Maybe on my next fillup (likely March) I’ll go with 87 and do 0-60 runs again. But by then I plan to be running the 37s sitting in my garage.

E-save, but with “esave charge” option selected in hybrid menu, with battery below 90%, is the only way the engine will run at a stop.

I never use hybrid mode. Electric mode for day to day and e-save charge when I’m feeling frisky.

hybrid mode should have been the same as FORM 1, as it stands now its basically the same as electric mode with a lower throttle threshold to start the gas motor.

Good info! I run 93 octane for the same reason; I know the tank is pressurized, but I get gas every 6 to 8 weeks, sometimes 12, and I know octane degradation is probably minimal, but it's nice for the peace of mind.

Please update your times when you upgrade to the 37s!

I got my 37s on and reprogrammed using the Tazer. Just haven't had a chance to run a comparable 0-60 like I did when stock. I did however run a test while loaded down with hunting gear and a kayak on top after goose hunting this weekend but I only had 5% battery on the first run (6.68sec), 3% on the second (6.65sec), and <1% on the third (6.82sec). Not sure if the battery percentage makes a big difference or not. Have heard it matters and others say it doesn't since there's always 15% reserve even when at <1%. Also after those runs I realized I still had stability control turned on.
So since all things were not equal, i plan to do more runs this week with a full charge and not loaded down.
Have noticed a significant hit to all-electric range with the 37s. It wants to kick out of Electric and into Hybrid more and I only got 14-15 miles all electric today on my commute to/from work. I got about 14 going into work when it was low 30s out (climate off) and 15 or so coming home when it was around 60deg (also climate off). Definitely more of a hit than I was expecting. I was hoping to maintain about 18 miles all electric since I was getting about 21 stock this winter.

Don't know what the 0-60 times are but likely low to flat 0-60

Got to do some more comparable runs at lunch today:
My setup:
2022 JLUR-4xe. Hardtop. Standard rear bumper. LOD mid width front bumper with Warn 9500ti winch. Driver (me) plus recovery gear, tools etc add about 250-300#.
Now running 37x12.50 Yokohama Geolander MTs on 17x8.5” Kansei wheels.
Tank approx 1/3 full of 93 Oct.
Battery at 92%
Hybrid mode, 4auto, traction & ESC OFF
2000rpm launch.

Surprised I got a 6sec flat then a 6.12sec.
Powerwise I’m loving this 4xe on 37s. But only got 15 miles all electric this morning on my way to work but most of that was 70mph on the highway.

I only got 17 miles today going 65 with my all stock Rubicon. I'd gladly trade 2 miles of range for 37s. That's pretty awesome to hear.

Question why do you care about 0 to 60. This thing is a straight axle rocket. At 50 hold on, 60 now DW, 70 be happy, 80 good luck, 90 smile, 100 shit your pants

That sounds like something is wrong. Is that with heater on? Last summer I was getting 23-24 all electric. Dropped to around 21 this winter when cold but no heat. Would get more like 18 with the heater on.

Simply because it's a metric I could baseline with the Tazer and then check again after mods like tires just to see the impact. Or even check with different modes and functions on/off.
It's easy to find a road with no traffic to stop and do some runs to 60. Much harder to get track time for 1/4 mile times.

It was around 30 degrees outside. No heat. A bit of uphill elevation change.
