Twelve for Twelve Number 8 Duck

This is the next duck for June 12. The timing and the symbology obviously point to a very military heritage version. A notable exception on this duck is the closed mouth bill. All the others are open mouth. Not sure if that signifies a unique grill feature or just a "serious look" on the duck graphic.

Watching, although not with excessive interest. June is my birthday month, and I'm a vet. So...let's see if HQ manages to keep any camouflage trimmings in check.

Wonder if the closed bill is in relation to the rhino grill on the anvil concept from this years Easter Jeep Safari. They pulled the grill concept from the Kaiser Jeep M715 military truck.

Am I the only one over the "military heritage" callbacks Jeep keeps tossing out constantly? Jeeps haven't been in widespread military service since the 70s or 80s. We're pushing 50 years. I don't think it's a relevant or necessary component to a Jeep. Shoot, Toyota pickups have more claim to modern military service than any current Jeep. Or even Chevy's Colorado which underpins the Army's new Jeep like vehicle.

Your damn right about that

We might not use them much anymore which is pretty sad. But you do know that other countries have and or do use Military Variant Wranglers in military service right? And personally I’d say it is a component that is necessary to a degree. Because without the Military and the and its need for it during WWII we wouldn’t have it most likely. But yes they could dial it back and just do it right.

Looks like Toyota is doing military heritage!

I wonder if the gold bill means another 392 drop in whatever this edition will be. Would be cool if they released that concept grille, but also wouldn't surprised if its jut a specially colored one like the White Cap.
