Jeep Wrangler JL KC HiLiTES SlimLite® 6" & 8" V2 — Classic Looks. Modern Power. 1759851279312-b6

Hey everyone

We’re stoked to share that the SlimLite® family just got a serious upgrade.
Both the 6" SlimLite V2 and 8" SlimLite V2 have been completely re-engineered for 2025 with brighter output, dual-mode lighting, improved connectors, and updated wiring.
Same legendary round profile — now tougher, smarter, and built for the next generation of Jeep adventures.

ADAPT TO ANY TERRAIN

The new SlimLite® V2 series introduces dual-mode functionality, letting you easily switch between:
  • 100% Full Power – Maximum output for off-road visibility
  • 20% Dimmed Mode – Controlled light for on-road or group driving

Pair either size with KC’s SAE Driving Shields for street-legal performance and a seamless transition from trail to pavement.

WHAT’S NEW

3-Pin MoistureBlock® Connector
Upgraded from the older 2-pin DT to a 3-pin panel-mount connector for improved sealing and easy serviceability — designed to withstand water crossings and harsh weather.

LED Performance Boost
Both sizes received an LED and driver overhaul for greater efficiency and power. Expect tighter beam control, longer reach, and up to 1.8× more brightness than before.

Dual-Mode Switch
Every kit includes a 3-position switch (Full / Dim / Off) right out of the box — plug, mount, and go.

Complete Kit Options
Available as Singles or Master Kits, each setup includes:
  • 2 × SlimLite® LEDs
  • 3-Position Wiring Harness
  • KC Black Covers
  • SAE Driving Shields
  • Mounting Hardware

I’m excited to see these lights and I think they may be exactly what I’ve been waiting for. I REALLY like the two power level option to use as a driving/offroad from the same light. Does anyone have any plans to try to control these from the factory aux switches? I would love some guidance on how to use those switches and still get the two power modes (I’d rather not add an additional switch to my interior). If someone figures out how to do this I”m ready to buy!

I sent you a DM We have a wiring harness that would allow you to connect a set of these on the bumper to your headlights, Hi / Low beam - https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/jl-jt-headlight-auxiliary-light-adaptor.136546/

You'd literally just use two of your AUX switches, one would control the low power, the other would control high power. Flex era 4, titan light, etc have been this way for years

These seem really interesting now in V2. How would you say, other than the obvious cost difference, that they compare in performance to the Gravity Titans?

For amber mode you’d have to use the lens or course but overall performance of the bright white vs Titan?

Thinking I really like this set up for my gladiator and to bumper mount a pair. I assume they can mount right to the mopar steel bumper and don’t need any type of additional mount that’s not included in the 2 pack?

If you do a good mix of both on- and off-road driving, the SlimLite is a great choice. You can run it with the SAE shield installed to stay street legal, and then pop it off when you want a full off-road spot beam.

The Titan is another solid option, but it’s more specific — you’ll need to choose between an SAE Driving Beam (street-legal), an Off-Road Spot, or a Wide 40 (spread beam).

If you deal with dust, fog, or snow, or just like the look, you can always add an amber cover for better visibility and that classic KC amber glow.

And yes — you can mount these easily on the OEM steel bumper by removing one of the existing bolts. The mounting stud on most KC light pairs is M10, which matches that factory hole perfectly.

Excellent. I have ordered a pair, along with the amber wide shields. This should be a great versatile set up.

Thanks! I have been reading about that on the KC website. I hadn't seen that before post, but I'm excited to try it. Thanks again.

I used the KC piggyback harness in conjunction with a factory AUX switch. The AUX switch enables the lights and then my auxiliary spot lights switch on with the JL high beams, and my auxiliary flood lights switch on with the JL fog lights. Great setup.
