I stopped by one of my local dealers today to see the new grille in person and found a 2024 392 at the back of the lot with the winch installed. So I grabbed a few pics.

At first glance I noticed the fairlead was quite thin and had a convenient place to mount the hook.

However, I was surprised at how far the fog light bezels stuck out. I put a pic of a 20th anniversary 392 below it for comparison.

This image was flipped for a better comparison.

This is the only 2024 I have seen above a sport, so I don't know if they are like that for all steel bumpers or just the ones with the winch. I am not a fan of that look with them sticking out that far. I assume it is some regulatory reason, similar to how they had to put ugly bumpers on the Countach.

Wonder if they can be swapped out.
I like the bumper however I don’t like how far they stick out

In true Jeep fashion the bolt on the right in the second picture already has surface rust. The bumper reminds me of Madonna’s cone bra corset…that wasn’t a good look for her it’s not for the Jeep in my opinion.

I hope it is just for the steel bumpers that come with the winch from the factory so that they can meet some crash rating or pedestrian safety rating that is reduced by adding the winch and winch plate. Will have to see a 2024 without the winch and with the steel bumper to know if it is all of them or not.

Just grotesque crash cans, standard ones should swap with an unknown (to me) degree of difficulty. I would swap regardless of simple or more extensive wrenching. ?

Not hard to replace. Easier if you pull the wings off the steel bumper. I replaced one on my 2018 that got roughed up, easy job.

I was a local dealer yesterday they only had 2023s in stock. They had a used 2022 gladiator sport with 16k miles for $61k!

It depends on what is under the plastic. You would have to replace the bumper brackets as well as the plastic covers if the circular part of the bracket is longer. I imagine they are longer otherwise I don't see why the plastic covers would be so long.

@AllMoparParts.com do you know if there is new bumper brackets for certain 2024 steel bumpers?
I think these are the old part numbers: 68325051AD 68325052AD

Are they actually putting Zeon winches in these things? If so Im pretty shocked since I would suspect they would put an Evo 8K lb and charge a considerable markup.

It looks like someone at Jeep has figured out how tightly a Warn winch fits against the grill of a JL and configured the winch plate or the winch to tilt forward so that the control pack has some clearance.

I ended up making a hole and running the wires out of the side of my Warn winch. Didn’t like the wires mashed and rubbing the bottom of my grill
