Agreed, I am on my second Metalcloak Game Changer suspension kit. I have recommended and installed their suspension systems on three more of my friends jeeps. Great quality and awesome customer service.

I don’t even have MC but I’m a huge fan! Honestly I feel like any of the MC lifts are like the SCAR-H of the lift kit world! If you got an MC lift you’ve made it! Just like Metalcloak Mike I have a 2dr and would absolutely love a GC 2.5” MC lift!!

@CloakedWillys I'm getting ready to purchase a MetalCloack game changer 3.5" lift on my new 2026 Rubicon X. I want to go up to 37" tires. Because I wheel it only 3-4 times a year, the Jeep needs to be my daily driver and handle really well on the road. The closest offroading park is about 4 hours drive. Next two closest are 6 and 8 hours away.

I'm making my third trip to Moab in May this year with plans to tackle Cliffhanger, Poison Spider (full trifecta) and a few other trails. I think the Game Changer will be excellent for what I want to do.

But I'm at a loss for which shocks I should go with? What is the recommended best street performing shock that feels like a cadillac on the road?

I REALLY like how nice my Jeep drives stock. The mopar OEM red shocks feel very comfy. I don't want to sacrifice that feel.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

The Rocksport RED or Slates are great options. They have the smoothest ride and work well offroad. If you prefer a little tighter ride and handling the Silvers are a good way to go. The blacks are excellent if you are looking for performance.

Do you have any reviews or articles that compare the rocksport red and silver? I wouldn't mind tighter handling in the corners, but without sacrificing a cushy ride. I know I can't have it both ways, but I still want to find the best compromise.

I don't off hand. @Silver21JLUR has run both and can chime in.

I have run both. Started on Reds then swapped to Silvers. In my opinion, the Silvers provided me a better on road feel all around and did well off road. I have used them in the rocks through The Rubicon/Moab, and through faster off road stuff down in Barstow, CA. Now, I just swapped back to the Reds/Slates because I miss the travel they provide over the silvers. Silver front compressed is 18.4 and extended is 28.4 inches. Rear silver compressed is 19.4 and extended is 30.6 inches, vs the reds which are 17.3 compressed and 30 inches extended front and rear. The Reds/slates do very well on road and off road too, they are just a little softer on road vs the silvers. I am on Metalcloak 3.5 rocklander kit running 40's.

It's hard to beat the travel and plush ride of the Red's for the price! I wish the blacks had similar compressed and extended lengths.

Agreed. Just no way of doing that on a 2.5. The Rocksport blacks shocks are on my wish list. Just need to find money somewhere 😂

I use the rocksports on mine and the on and offroad ride is great.

Another advantage of the reds is that they are cheap.
