Hey fam,

I gotta say...I'm a former two-time Ford Raptor owner, so when looking for my next rig, I was thinking Bronco but then fell in love with my JLUR 4XE, and now I'm hooked. I picked it up back in December in Bowling Green, KY, when I lived in Nashville. I spent the next months getting it dialed in with the mods, and I am so happy with how she turned out. I also just relocated back to San Antonio, TX, for work, so I'm excited to meet up with local clubs and do some wheeling!

That is a damn good looking jeep. Id just be afraid of pinstriping. Unless its not a issue with ppf.

Never seen HREs on a wrangler before. Where did you get them? Direct? Im curious on the price… “gulp”

Thank you, my friend! That's precisely what the PPF is for, to help prevent pinstripping, and even if it does get them, the light scratches and swirls will self-heal in the sun. It's pretty cool stuff, but I'm quite biased as I work for XPEL

I hadn't ever seen HREs on a Jeep either, but I ran into the marketing team from HRE at SEMA 2023, they asked me what wheels were going on the JLUR, and I told them probably Black Rhino, and they asked why I wasn't using their wheels.....I replied with..."I didn't know y'all made off-road wheels, and also, I'm not rich," lol, and they told me about their HRE FlowForm FT1 Monoblocks -- https://www.hrewheels.com/wheels/hre-flowform/ft1 that start at $400 each. Now, that's not cheap, but for a high-quality wheel like an HRE, that's a bargain. After I got home from SEMA, I reached out and ordered a set but asked them to finish them in a unique color, Sea Lion Grey, and what you see in the pictures is the result. They look so good in person. I'm so happy with how they turned out. Refinishing them in a unique color added to the price a bit, they were about $750 each, but that's still a bargain for HRE's.

Really nice build! Man, I'd almost be afraid to take that off road. But then again, I don't have a lot of common sense behind the wheel of my Jeep

Pretty cool you got some one-off wheels!
How do you like it at low speeds? I watched Matt's Off Road drive one and he had trouble with the gas, said it was like an on/off switch.

The matte look is cool, I dig it. Nice that it helps with the pinstriping and swirls. These black painted jeeps aren't the easiest to maintain ha!

Howdy from a fellow San Antonio resident! That's a great-looking ride!

Speaking of groups, tomorrow is the annual San Antonio Jeep Club Go Topless Day Hill Country Cruise ( (2) SAJC Go Topless Day Hill Country Cruise | Facebook ). Meeting at 0900 just west of Gruene at the River Road Ice House (https://maps.app.goo.gl/UsPEyz9RTjmRDEHJ7). The convoy rides out at 0930, goes along the Guadalupe River, up into the Hill Country around Wimberly, and ends up at Salt Lick BBQ where everyone grabs lunch and socializes before all go their separate ways. You would be totally welcome to join in the fun. Great group. Want to say there were 60-70 Jeeps last year.
