I'm not sure about advertising a target of sub 40K for the price and then showcasing a vehicle that looks to have 10K in upgrades.

I love my Xterra Pro4x. 2011. Still have it. It has been a great vehicle with minimal maintenance (the only non routine maintenance Ive had to do is replace a valve cover). But I have to say the jeep is so much more fun to drive on road and off road and I can take the top off. I am interested to see what nissan does with this new model.

the xterra was a great truck, but i never considered it a Wrangler competitor. I think it is more like a Forerunner or Landcruiser.

I don't know, there is a design language being speculated by many insiders based on a internal memo that shows the DRLs and outline shape in the background of an image. And nothing in that link negates the design. "Radical looking, beefy full sized truck, with muscular grille, and no frills rugged focus."
