If foam makes such a difference on the lid why doesn't every cooler brand do it?!? Because, like most companies, think customers are idiots so want to change an arm and a leg for that foam insulated lid and a bit more plastic ("premium coolers").

I’m sure Yeti coolers are great, but I’m too cheap to buy one.

I bought an Ace collapsible cooler and I’ve used that for long road trips. 50 bucks and works just as well. Ice for days.

Bought one of these 20yrs ago for $90 at BJ’s. It was a major splurge, but I figured it’d double as a seat. It’s still my primary cooler.

How many people have a Yeti and dislike it? I have not met anyone yet. They are expensive, but I happen to think every Yeti product I own is awesome at what it was designed to do. FWIW I own a handful of 20 and 30 oz tumblers, lowballs, wine tumblers, colsters, a 1 gallon rambler jug, tundra 45, flip 12, flip 18, and a bucket. I guess you could say I like their products. (god my list looks a bit redic...some of these items were gifts) Its amazing how many people who I have introduced to Yeti and now own Yeti. People like nice stuff, Yeti is nice stuff.

I'll have to go back and look, but I think right here in this thread there has been a complaint of leaking. I still, however, think their products are probably excellent. My issue is the politics of the people who run it. I also think they are way overpriced. Just my humble opinion, though. I have plenty of respect differing opinions.

So whats the deal with the freaking Yeti bucket? I actually saw one for the first time yesterday. $40 freaking dollars for a damn 5 gallon food safe bucket. I can go to Firehouse subs and spend $5 for a food safe bucket and help out a great cause at the same time. Ok sure, I will give you the fact that it is twice as thick but other than that what?

Bucket was a gift. Family knows I like Yeti stuff, and it was filled with other goodies. Honestly, I will probably never have food in it. Its currently holding hockey pucks.
