Just some information on the JL cargo area. I picked up a Yeti Tundra 45 and it fits and opens perfectly sideways. I bought the locking bracket that can tie to the floor loops. Bring on Summer and some country concerts!

Agreed purchased the 45 and it fits perfectly. The 65 had to be turned sideways taking up to much room.
i went with the locking teather so it would be lockable anywhere it put it.

My Yeti cooler does leak water through the lid seal and soaks the rear carpet once the ice melts some and the water sloshes around. I called Yeti and was told that is normal! Then put it away for good after Yeti's NRA diss. No more Yeti stuff in my jeep.

I just bought the tall skinny Ozark Trail soft side cooler at Wal Mart for 50 bucks. It takes up little room and won't scratch up any plastic back there. Space will be at a premium when this baby goes to Moab!

It's already been proven that the ONLY difference between a $450 Yeti and a $50 Coleman from Walmart is that the Yeti has spray foam inside the lid also, and the Walmart cooler doesn't. Otherwise, they are identical in method of cooling.

Personally, I'd drill a couple of holes in a Coleman and spray it full with a $5 can of foam and call it a day.

I researched a ton of coolers, and for the money I went with the old school Coleman steel belted cooler. It fits very well inside the back of the JLU, and the money you'll save over the cost of a Yeti or some other plastic cooler, you can purchase more cool gear for your JL!! $87 for a black one on Amazon, used it this past weekend for a quick trip to Echo Lake/ Arapahoe National Forest in CO.

When I get my JL i'll post a picture with my ARB fridge in the cargo area.

At the price of the Yeti coolers, you're almost in the same range as a 110v/12v fridge. Once you go fridge, you'll never consider a cooler again.

And yes, I do have plenty of Yeti products, so definitely not a Yeti hater.

Good to know. I’m still old school with ice and the anticipation of warm drinks by the end of the day. 400 bucks to keep something cold? It better be a heart or a kidney for that price!

They’re also a bunch of lefty snowflakes. Yeti can go take a flying leap. I’ll buy the Coleman. Or an igloo for 35 bucks.
