Hey guy's I'm new to this forum, so hello to all.
Just wanted to update on the XK Glow side vents lights as I just installed them on my 2024 JL Rubicon. Those may have been covered already so my apologies for yet another thread on this..
I've been reading and just wanted to show all the new JL owners on what wires to install these vent lights onto.. I'm retired with some electrical experience and thought to throw this out to help those who want to install the XK Vent Glow light..
With that being said, from what I found, the green and white are you're turn signals lights and the brown and white are your headlights.. As you can see, I used the yellow and white, that works well if you want the lights on your DRL but I wanted mine to go on with the headlights at night. The turn signals work all the time day or night. It a very easy install, but for the life of me I couldn't find a 2024 JL lighting schematic, but I'm not very good at surfing the web
.. So I just had to figure it out on my own.
They work well once installed. I don't like the fact that the on/off switch stays under the hood along with the bluetooth controller .. So the only way to control the RBG lights is with the APP and your phone. You have to leave the switch under the hood in the on position. In order to turn off the RBG lights you have to use the APP.
I saw a video on a forum and the installer stated that once you're Bluetooth was out of range for 5 minutes that the RBG lights would automatically go off. I have yet to see my RBG lights go off so I just turn them off in the APP.. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, no idea..
