I always love to bother myself. With that said. This is what I fabricated

the led light came in a pair from Amazon $40~
Switch with led ring $10.
it’s cool with the fold down table
I can say … hey I have that too lol

Sorry forgot to write that portion
I removed the cover on the left side where the power outlet is and tapped into it. Because the power I tested inside the gate for the lock mechanism and 3rd brake like is not 12v it was much less and made the LED light fliker

So after installation I then realized how I miscalculated the led switch hitting the inner part of the gate itself by 1/2” I didn’t pay attention to that. So i either move it up which will leave a hole and I can plug it. Orrrr drill out a half moon of the gate material and not have a hole to plug. Or get a more flush mounted switch … not a huge deal. I’ll figure it out soon

My JL has a light on the rear glass that plugs into the 12-volt round plug. Even has a remote.

yea, i got that one too lol from Oracle, and like i wrote above, i like to fabricate custom parts/ideas, just like on all my other cars .. otherwise i will go nutts , next is a pullout sliding board for the cargo area, which will have something interesting mounted lol
