Is this supposed to wobble like this?

front



I torqued the two bolts where the caliper pins are to 27ft lbs but it still wobbles.

front passenger is solid

Nevermind, the passenger side is like that too. I’ll assume normal. It’s just the part that holds the pads, the other part of the caliper is firmly attached to the knuckle.

Nevermind, the passenger side is like that too. I’ll assume normal. It’s just the part that holds the pads, the other part of the caliper is firmly attached to the knuckle.
The caliper is a "floating caliper" design, like most run of the mill cars and trucks. This is necessary because the pistons are on just one side of the caliper. When you see Brembo, Wilwood or other similar brakes with pistons on both sides of the rotors, the calipers are bolted rigid.

Other solutions I have for you are:

A. burn it to the ground and start over
B. slaughter a goat and offer it up to the Jeep as a sacrifice


good luck.
In these types of dire circumstances , I think even PETA approves of choice B. Plus tacos.

@arnie_mueller has had a weird steering wheel shimmy going on for a while. Like me he's tried a lot of things but hasn't solved it yet.
