Just drove through a downpour and used the wipers on its highest setting, the active braking alert kept going off every 2 seconds or so. When I lowered the wiper speed, it stopped. Seems like with the wipers going over the sensors on behind the rearview mirror, it throws off the active breaking system. Has anyone experienced this?

Drove through similar conditions just last night for about 30 minutes, no problems with my active braking system.

I have not had this issue. Perhaps there’s some dirt or something in front of the sensor interfering with it and the rain exaggerated it?

I drove through an absolute down pour with wipers on high for 10-15 minutes yesterday. No brake alerts from my active braking system

Hi cns721,
We understand why this may be concerning. We suggest having your dealer inspect this concern. We are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.
