I looped a wide, heavy duty black tie wrap over the wires and down to the sway bar disconnect. This pulled the wires down to where only about an inch of the red wire showed. I painted the red wire satin black to made it less obvious and also painted the chrome release lever black to make the two sides look even. Then the wires were run up behind the right headlight, along the body in the engine compartment, between the air intake and body and then around the battery. I used a large fender washer to hold the wires in a slot between the cowling and frame.

From my build thread. Complete write up and more pics over there, but these are the most relevant ones.
Winch cables. the power cable comes with a pretty nice sheath/ loom on it. I wish they did this for both.

Routing the cables. I unbolted the bolt on the inner fender and ran both cables up between the inner fender, frame, and grille. As soon as they were completely pulled up, I used my work light to check clearances and make sure they weren't rubbing on anything, as that could eventually cause a short in the power cable and damage to the winch, or a fire.

The cables, pulled up and attached to the battery.

I took some old water heater foam insulation (used on my last winch) and wrapped it around the wires. Pulled it up and zip tied it in place, to protect them from abraision. Then Bolted the inner fender back in place. It all fit pretty well. I was surprised.

Where my winch sits, it’s cables exit the winch just at the bottom of the grille. I placed them behind the grille facia, and pulled them up through the gap between the headlight and fender, under the air box, and then into the main shutoff relay. Cables are all hidden except for the relay and battery area. Nothing exposed to get damaged.

And no..........that is not a negative cable attached to the positive terminal. It’s another feed line to a 250 amp relay that feeds my accessory relay control center. The two pack of 1/0 gauge jumpers only came in red/ black.

Very helpful and saved me some time. Thanks!
