The app is nice if you have a hankering to listen to a Sirius channel on your bluetooth speaker somewhere in the house or elsewhere's of life. I use it occasionally for that. Plus there are a lot more channels available on the app. Kind of weird to stream a Sirius channel back to my car that's not available in the car directly, but here we are.

Hi

Sirius can be pretty similar to local radio with the same x number of songs in rotation, only plus is they do have a few different format stations that no longer exist in my area.

As for cost, if you wait to sign up you can get it down from 10/month, I keep getting 5/month offers, hell my Challenger I got 3 months for 2.50. Back in September and considering it was in storage all winter why pay for something you can't use.

Would be nice if you could get all the Sirius channels from their app on pur radios. As there is like 800-900, so a bit more variety.

Regards,
Jim

I pay $10 (+ tax) a month for service in 2 vehicles. You can get it down that far if when they call you to renew after your trial period you keep telling them no. That's what I did at least. I've had that price for the last couple of vehicles.
This.

You have to be willing to waste 20 minutes of your life every 12 months, but if you are persistent about cancelling they will eventually give you the low price again. I use their on-line chat feature to negotiate, so I can multi-task. ;)

EDIT: Also a good idea not to have a credit card on file with them. Ask them to bill you.

Don't feel weird if you aren't interested. I didn't find much value in it either. Same sort of thing, 100 channels and nothing particularly exciting on. Plus I'm too used to being able to jump around when streaming.

Some say it's good for when you're out of radio and cell reception, but I found it doesn't work particularly well in deep canyons either. For those situations I found it much better to download a playlist to micro USB and always keep it plugged in the center console USB port. If all else fails, play the USB thumb drive. That port isn't good for cables anyway, stuff in the center console always stresses and breaks the cable.

I had finally gotten rid of them from the truck I traded in, there's no way I was getting tangled up with them again for the Wrangler. I'm a fan of Apple Music since Reznor became a creative mind behind it and see no need in another service, I also don't care for DJ's.

So if I stick with it I can use it on my phone or pc as well?

A few quick tips:

First, you don't have to wait until it is canceled. You can get a good deal buy asking for it.

Second, you don't have to waste time on the phone - the last time I renewed my Jeep and Pacifica I just used the chat on the website and told them if they could do last year's deal I'd renew both vehicles.

Third, as someone mentioned you don't want a credit card on file because they will bill it at the end of your subscription. I use my citi card to pay, and citi lets me get a virtual temporary CC number so when Sirius tries to bill a year later, it won't go through ;)

For as much as a pain as renewal can be Sirius does continue to surprise me in good ways. When I traded in my RAM 1500 for my Jeep in September I of course took advantage of the free 6 moth trial. Usually I put a reminder on my calendar a few days prior so that I can request the cheaper rate before they automatically bill my credit card. This time however I screwed up the date and didn't catch it till the first auto renewal at the monthly rate hit. I called in to cancel, got the promo rate and they CREDITED back that monthly charge. So I didn't even take a hit for renewing late.

Sirius works for me as in the PNW radio and cell reception is patching in the mountains, and I don't have the necessary DJ skills to build suitable play lists on my iPhone. :like:
