Does anyone know if you can add the Sirius xm module to the 5" Uconnect 3? I know it's an option from factory but was trying to find it since mine didn't come with it.

I am looking into doing the same.. Have you ever figured this out? I assume maybe just the antenna and a radio flash?

I have an appointment at the dealer on Monday to get the cruise control recall done so maybe I will ask then...

It may be cheaper to PUCHASE a stand alone unit and plug it into the Auxiliary jack, you will have XM

True but I'd kinda like to keep the interior as clean looking as possible and I'd like to control everything through the stock radio. I assume, since XM is an option with the UConnect 3 that's it's a simple antenna add and maybe a radio flash?

Have any ideas for a stand alone system that can be installed and completely hidden from view?

The best thing is just go to the website and pick one there are units that you maybe able to control from Your factory unit. But your challenge will be where to put the dome as in antenna, XM has a small antenna footprint which is great.

Yeah but that's why I'd rather just add to stock.. Cleaner look and integrated into the factory radio... I assume it's a simple add.

Adding XM to UConnect 3 is a $300 factory option but that includes 1 year of service. I'll ask the dealer on Monday while I am there. My assumption is a antenna add and radio flash but who knows..

I realize this is an old thread but I just bought a jeep with the uconnect 3 -5" and I want to add sirius...What did you find out?

I support reviving this zombie - I too am curious as to whether or not it's possible to add Sirius in the same situation.

My Sport did not come with SXM and I bought a unit here on the Member Marketplace. you will have to add the SXM antenna, or just get a stand alone unit and plug into the aux jack.

Swapping the radio is very easy, adding the Antenna, not so much as I mounted it in the stock location in the sports bar and routing the wire requires removing a lot of trim pieces.
