Awesome, never thought about it that way! Actually, after 10 years in the Army they wanted me to fly a desk so I got out and went to the Coast Guard. Got to stay in the cockpit another 19 years and finished out with a 4 year desk job. Total combined service was 33 years with 27.5 in the cockpit.
