The trail is Bunce School which is kind of a ho hum point A to B trail that can take you to several more interesting trails.
Colorado Northern front range.

I've always used (breaking trail) as a winter term. As in breaking trail through new snow that no one has tracked yet.
Now making new trails, that's bad stuff.
